Praise the Lord for January 2018 (2min read)

thank You LordLet everything alive give praises to the Lord! You praise him!

Hallelujah! (Psalm 150:6, TLB)

If someone did something spectacular for you, you would thank him/her and/or may offer something of value in return as appreciation. In my culture, we would often call the person at cockcrow to thank him/her.

If giving thanks and praise to our fellow humans make them happy and want to do more for us, then we can imagine how happy God is each time we enter His gate with thanksgiving and His court with praise.

January 2018 is ending and if you are alive today, then you have to thank God for carefully taking care of you from January 01 to January 31. 31 days; almost 5 weeks; 744 hours; 44640 minutes; 2678400 second;

It takes approximately 3 seconds to inhale, and 3 seconds to exhale.  This means that throughout January you repeated this process for about 446400 times. The air you took in during the process was free of charge, at your Heavenly Father’s expense. God has been good to you regardless of how your situation has been this month and I want you develop or improve upon the attitude of praising God for the little things He does for you.

Sometimes these little things are the most important treasures you could ever have on earth: If you can Walk, Praise Him. If you can Sit, Praise Him. If you can use the Washroom, Praise Him. If you can get out of bed, Praise Him. If you can stretch, Praise Him. If you can See, Talk, Hear, etc, Praise Him.

Let us walk into February 2018 with an attitude of Praise. When you wake up in the new month, remember that God deserves your praise. It is also a sign that He will take care of you. If you are alive, c’mon! Praise the Lord for He is worthy. Hallelujah!

Relying on God’s Strategy (1min read)

The scripture assures us that God will fight our battles for us which we know that the result would be victory over the enemy or the situation.

It is easy to read this promise in the Bible and think that you can remain passive and expect victory over the circumstance(s). Well, I want to give you the big surprise that it doesn’t work that way.

When you trust God with your battle or situation, He often would give you His word, a strategy, when followed will make you triumph over the enemy. But the challenge is that this strategy may not make sense in the natural as we normally expect God to work in familiar way(s).

“…My thoughts are not like yours. Your ways are not like mine.” (Isaiah 55:8, ERV)

If you want God to fight your battle for you, then you must be ready to follow His strategy which (of course) won’t make sense per human reasoning. It requires absolute reliance on His word to see Him work for you.

God has planned victories, testimonies, miracles, breakthrough for you this year but are you ready to do what He tells you to do? It is not about the resource you have but it is about what God can do with the little resource you have. God’s strategies work because He is Omniscience and God Almighty. Be encouraged to start taking those little steps of faith as you act on His Word concerning your situation.

Posted in THOUGHT FOR THE DAY, Uplifting Christ

Tomorrow comes quick

20121122-170025.jpgAlmost 20 days already; yeah! the year is still young and gradually the Lord is ordering our steps into achieving His purpose(s) for our lives. But it is easy to be in a new day and yet walk in the shadows of yesterdays…you know the kind of feeling when you wake up in the morning and mourn about what went wrong yesterday. Whew! it’s kind of tricky when you become so excited about yesterday‘s success(es) that you fail to recognize amazing things you can do today for better tomorrow.

Think about this; Today is yesterday’s tomorrow. What matters is TODAY. You can’t (appear to) do things in Tomorrow, or (go back to) undo things in Yesterday. In effect, looking back at yesterday, what can you do today as you prepare for tomorrow. These three days are very critical as you journey through life.

Reminder: Tomorrow comes quick.

Therefore, as each blessed day is unfolding in 2018, be mindful of the simple little tricks the enemy will use to keep you from expanding and/or most importantly keep you bound in your comfort zone when he tells you to wait till tomorrow/next week/next year.

Today

Tomorrow (or next week or next year) is running hurriedly towards us so if you can Pray today, pray. If you can Fast today, Fast. If you can win soul today, just do it.  If you have to read today, read. Whatever you have to do today (or in 2018) must be carefully thought through and done. Remember, Today is Yesterday’s Tomorrow or better still This Year is Last year’s Next year.

Redeeming the time…Eph 5:18
