I thank God for this opportunity to share with you the Power in the Name of Jesus. I read what happened in the book of Daniel; “Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.” (Daniel 10:12, 13 NIV84)
Daniel prayed, and for 21 days, the angel who was sent with the answers was held hostage by the Prince of the Persians. We wrestle against Satan and his demons. They are working 24/7 to find ways to attack, and destroy us. They operate in areas where we lack knowledge. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6 AMP).
Most Christians believe Satan and his demons have powers to stop answers to their prayers. Ministers of the Gospel preach about this too. People no longer take time to develop their Faith, and to use the Power Jesus has given to them (Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you. Luke 10:19 AMP), instead they live in fear and always look around for the person they could blame for their problems. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Jesus is greater than anything that has name. Daniel prayed and his answers were held up because he didn’t pray in the Name of Jesus. Jesus said “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” (John 14:13, 14 NIV84). Some of us pray in faith, but they don’t pray in the Name of Jesus. Jesus knew this so he said “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” (John 16:24 NIV84). When you find the truth in God’s Word, Satan and his guys become powerless. I am not saying they don’t have power. They have but they can’t prevail against you. When you pray in the Name of Jesus, no demon has power to cease answers to your prayers.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11 KJV). The Name “JESUS” was given by God. It is Power from above. God created all things, and He has set Jesus above all. When you mention “Jesus”, every sickness, pain, devil, etc flee.
Be encouraged that God has not given you the spirit of fear. Jesus is your saviour. His Name is above every name. He is the King of kings. No demon, and No powers of darkness shall be able to stop you when you stand in the Name of Jesus. The next time you pray, remember to pray in Faith, and pray in the Name of Jesus. IT IS WELL.
