Every Little Helps

It’s said that “the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” and every single step you take takes you closer to your destination. Today, I want to borrow Tesco’s Every Little Helps, not to promote Tesco but to see how this slogan can be helpful to us in achieving our broader goal(s) this year.

Journey to the unknown with the Known God

January has passed. Now, February…moving to Week 6 out of 52. Day in, day out, week passes. Soon month, then before you realize, year is gone. The challenge is that we (are tempted daily to) wait for right time when actually the right time is NOW. And the NOW expects you and I to do something, regardless of how small it might be.

Every little bit helps. Assuming you want to break solid rock into pieces with hammer. The first few hits would barely produce any result. However, the more you hit the rock with your hammer, the result you seek would be inevitable.

The goals you seek to achieve this year is breaking that solid rock. The hammer is the tool (or resource) you have. Hitting the Solid rock is the little steps you would take each day. Every little hit helps, Every little step helps.

God isn’t expecting much from you. He only wants you to take those little steps which He would use to accomplish unimaginable results for His Glory. Consider the story of the lepers who were outcast in Samaria, or the Woman with the issue of blood, or even Zacchaeus. All they needed to do was to take steps, and they did. Any result? Yes, they got what they sought for.

Don’t be limited by the size of your vision, instead be supercharged by the size of your God who through His Spirit can cause you to achieve anything you could think of. He is God Almighty.

You can Handle It

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Philippians 4:13, KJV)

It’s a week into the new year and guess what is staring at me; my vision, goals and objectives. They don’t look friendly at all but I am determined to keep moving forward. I can handle it.

It’s not about what the year has to offer but about what we have to do in the year. Nothing will happen if we do nothing.

Regardless of the size of your vision or goals, it is attainable as God has made everything you would need available. You can handle it. God brought you this far because you have a story to tell this year. And your success story isn’t going to be about your network, certificates, qualification, experience, money, achievements, possessions, family, etc but about CHRIST, Who will gives you strength and power.

Paul understood that his strength to do all things came from Jesus Christ. In effect no principality, power, demon, or individual could stop him. This will be your story. On Christ the Solid Rock you stand therefore You can Handle whatever comes your way. Your vision is attainable. You can Handle it!

Don’t be intimidated by other people’s testimonies because yours will blow their mind too. Keep moving one step ahead of the other, always reassuring yourself that You can Handle it because Christ is your strength.

It Shall Come to Pass (30Sec Read)

God's time“This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.” (Habakkuk 2:3 NLT)

Susan Boyle couldn’t win Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 but what she did surprised many. She was 47 years and unemployed when she went to audition for Britain’s Got Talent. According to her, she had a dream of becoming a professional singer but she hadn’t had the opportunity to make that dream come to pass. So at 47, she finally decided to move beyond her limitations. In short, her dream came to pass and the world applauded for her outstanding performance.

Could it be that you have waited for so long and nothing seem to happen?

The scripture says “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:3 KJV).

Everyone has dreams, aspirations, desires, etc but God has set time for everything we need. Consider this for a moment: Why does regulation permit a person to drive or apply for drivers’ license after certain age (say 14, 16, 17, or 18) depending on the jurisdiction?

You may have time set for your dreams but God, who is Omnipotent and Omniscience, knows the PROPER time to release the blessings. He is always on time. The vision you have is for appointed time.

But when [in God’s plan] the proper time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the [regulations of the] Law, (Galatians 4:4, AMP)

Someone once asked me that “Why did Jesus wait for thirty years before he began His ministry? Don’t you think Jesus could have done more if He had started before thirty?”

I replied that “There is a set time for everything under the sun. And all we have got to do is to wait patiently, keep preparing our field, and Trust God for what He has promised to do. It pays to wait patiently than to give up.”

“Those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” (Isaiah 40:31 AMP)

Friend don’t give up on your dreams. When you are tempted to give up, look up to Jesus for strength. Keep on moving forward and trust that God will work things out for your good. When the time is up, nothing can stop you. Susan didn’t give up. And her dream came to pass at age 47.

Be encouraged today that IT SHALL COME TO PASS.
