Relying on God’s Strategy (1min read)

The scripture assures us that God will fight our battles for us which we know that the result would be victory over the enemy or the situation.

It is easy to read this promise in the Bible and think that you can remain passive and expect victory over the circumstance(s). Well, I want to give you the big surprise that it doesn’t work that way.

When you trust God with your battle or situation, He often would give you His word, a strategy, when followed will make you triumph over the enemy. But the challenge is that this strategy may not make sense in the natural as we normally expect God to work in familiar way(s).

“…My thoughts are not like yours. Your ways are not like mine.” (Isaiah 55:8, ERV)

If you want God to fight your battle for you, then you must be ready to follow His strategy which (of course) won’t make sense per human reasoning. It requires absolute reliance on His word to see Him work for you.

God has planned victories, testimonies, miracles, breakthrough for you this year but are you ready to do what He tells you to do? It is not about the resource you have but it is about what God can do with the little resource you have. God’s strategies work because He is Omniscience and God Almighty. Be encouraged to start taking those little steps of faith as you act on His Word concerning your situation.

Arise, Shine

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. (Isaiah 60:1, KJV)

The story would have been different if Jesus Christ hadn’t risen from the dead. Of course the enemy would have had the last laugh, probably laugh out loud (lol) knowing that he had defeated our Master at the battlefield. BUT God raised Jesus from the dead and He triumphed over Satan and his demons. He lives! Hallelujah! And because He lives, we live also.

The greatest victory is what Jesus won on the Cross. Remember Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35) and before His ministry, the Holy Spirit descended upon Him, enabling Him to carry out purpose on Earth, then He died. But God raised Him from the dead (Romans 8:11) on the third day. If Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless and your faith is useless” (1 Corinthians 15:14, NLT).

Christ victory wasn’t one off event as He ascended to The Father’s right hand and He is Reigning. He said in Luke 22:69 that “But from now on the Son of Man will be seated in the place of power at God’s right hand”.  In 1 Corinthians 15:25 (NLT) Paul said that “For Christ must reign until he humbles all his enemies beneath his feet.” Jesus is reigning, and the Spirit that made Jesus the Christ is at work in you. Your body is His temple.

“If the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Romans 8:11, KJV)

Jesus has given us victory over sin, over Satan and his demons, and over anything they would try to do to hurt us. Therefore Arise, Shine. You are no longer a slave because God paid the price to set you free. And The same Spirit that made Jesus the Christ lives in you. This means that you are full of capabilities. No wonder Jesus said “whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. (John 14:12, NIV). Your greatest asset in this life is the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life.

To Arise means to recognise that you are God’s masterpiece and that you are above every situation or challenge that might come your way. It also means to see yourself as God sees you. If you see yourself as one miserable sinner, poor, disease prone, fearful, and the likes after the price God paid, then you have not arisen. And to Shine is to walk in the victory God, through Jesus Christ, has given you. You show forth His glory. That is people should be able to tell that you are God’s precious possession by the way you live, and your life shows His goodness.

In this year, let others see Jesus in you. Say No to things that defile your body, the temple of the Holy Spirit, so that He (Holy Spirit) can have His way in you and unearth your greatest potentials. Know that sickness, disappointment, failure, rejections, bad reports, fear of unknown, poverty, scarcity, barrenness, infertility, disease, pains, etc are under your feet. You have power over them so begin to light up and SHINE! God bless you

This is a season of Joy and Happiness, and of Great Victory. We celebrate Christmas not just for the fun of it but We remember that many years ago Our Best Friend, Saviour, and Lord came to this world through virgin Mary. He came to show us The Way to the Father.

We celebrate because His Birth ushered us into a new dimension of great victory over Satan and his demons. We have victory over pains and disappointments, sicknesses and diseases, fear, worry and anxiety, and anything the enemy has orchestrated in our lives. Hallelujah!
