Be BOLD as a Lion (20sec read)

150929-004-4E4D59AF…the righteous are as bold as a lion.” (Proverbs 28:1, AMP)

The Lion is a distinct animal in the forest and has been a symbol of strength and power. Myles Munroe once said that an army of sheep led by a lion will defeat an army of lion led by a sheep.

Yeah! you know what sheep does; runs away with little scare, bleats and its voice can hardly be heard from afar, waits to be fed and its comfortable to be kept in a pen. And the rest you can think of.

  • LION

It is the King of the Jungle. It sees the elephant and thinks of food. yeah! that’s what am talking about. It is strong, courageous, and powerful. It is fierce and you dare not joke with it. It carries itself like a royalty and mingle with other lions. The sheep and lion will never have same agenda because they have different perceptions about the world.

Are you living as a sheep or a LION?

The statement by Dr Munroe depicts the importance of leading/or living as a lion and its so important because that is how God made you.

I read where a lion’s roar can be heard up to 8km away. With this in mind, just imagine how terrified your enemy would be when you activate your natural instinct. The enemy will flee before you get there. News about you should scare some people, especially those who wish for you to be destroyed, humiliated, defeated, etc. But if you are going to behave like the sheep and run from pressure and be afraid of people, then your enemies are going to win. C’mon! ROAR to scare your enemies off today and know that there is nothing to be afraid of. Hallelujah!

THE “JESUS’ LIFE”

Jesus

Jesus told him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. (John 14:6, NLT)

Jesus is the Way. In other words before we can make it to Heaven, we must walk on the path he walked, say what He said, and do what He did. He said in Matthew 5:16 that Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Simply put, people should be able tell who we are by the way we conduct ourselves.

To live the Jesus’ life is to ask yourself these questions before making any decision;

  • Would Jesus think, say, or do what I am about to think, say or do?
  • What would Jesus do if He is faced with what you are facing?

To live the Jesus’ Life is to acknowledge the statement that a servant is not greater than his Master. Jesus was persecuted, humiliated, rejected, beaten, insulted, etc. so don’t give up when people reject you, beat you, insult you, humiliate you, etc. Hebrew 12:3 says think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people, then you won’t become weary and give up

To live the Jesus’ life is to have compassion on lost souls; Souls that are heading toward hell.  Jesus said Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. (Mark 16:15) . Friend, it is an obligation for every child of God. You must win souls for His Kingdom. Remember, Jesus is the ONLY WAY to the Father. As a result, anyone who hasn’t accepted Jesus is on the wrong path and it is our responsibility to preach the Good News to them. Many people are on the wrong path to destruction so your task is urgent and important. The night is coming, and then no one can work. (John 9:4, NLT)

To live The Jesus’ life is to feed His sheep. Most shepherd today are not feeding their sheep. Jesus fed the multitude before sending them away. But what we see today is different. The sheep are struggling to survive while shepherds are living luxurious lives, all in the Name of God’s blessings. Jesus encouraged the rich young man to sell all he had and give them to the poor. We must live Jesus’ life.

To live the Jesus’ live is to be ready to sacrifice for others. John 15:13 says There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. Jesus sacrificed his life us. He showed his love for us by dying for our sins. I always tell people that my definition for Love is Sacrifice. If you can’t sacrifice, then you can’t love. Let us love our neighbors, forgive them when they sin against us, and be very generous.

To live the Jesus’ life is to Crucify the flesh. Jesus said “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me.” (Matthew 16:24)  Crucifying the flesh means turning away from things that destroy God’s temple. We must say no to the desires of the flesh daily And focus on things above. We must fix our eyes on things above, that is we must lay for ourselves treasures in Heaven.

We can live the Jesus’ life.

Friends Jesus coming soon. Let us all watch and pray, encouraging one another, loving one another, and caring for one another.

Jesus is coming soon!
