Why Miracles Come Your Way

Your life, as a child of God, should demonstrate the Lord’s goodness and it should bring glory and honor to His Holy Name. As a result, every miracle you seek should be that which will tell His goodness to others, and it should bring glory and honor to His Holy Name.

Every miracle God sends your way is supposed to be a message to someone who is in line to receive answers to his/her prayers. For me to be a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is a miracle. I remember one particular paper, Advanced Financial Management, that I passed at fifth attempt. I became exhausted but I wasn’t ready to give up as it was my last paper. On the exam day, just about an hour before the paper, I met a colleague who is a pastor and was coming for his third attempt. He told me about what he had discovered about approaching the paper which I felt would help and I also shared what I had discovered. The exam started, I cancelled answers to an entire question because I made a mistake, tried to answer again, and I was able to attempt all the questions. In the end, I passed with the highest mark in my ACCA journey. He also passed. I still wonder how he met me that morning before the paper because judging from the questions that came, I would have failed.

The fifth attempt I had to endure and paying GBP140 for each would turn to be a message for some people who were having tough time passing. I remember one guy who wanted to give up after his third attempt but when I told him about passing at fifth attempt, he went for the fourth and passed. Other people see my story as their message to persist through their journey.

Friend when God sends miracles your way, don’t see them as a tool to show off and to let those who mocked at you know that your time has come. Instead share your testimony to encourage those who are at the verge of giving up, and to also let the world know that your God still works for His children. Always remember that your Miracle is your Message.

My Little Story: Make Things Happen

Story:

I woke up one morning with a strong desire for a cup of hot dark coffee. I knew that a cup won’t appear on my coffee table till I make it happen with the wisdom and knowledge I have so after attending to my personal care needs, I walked to the first shop for coffee. Unfortunately, as with many first attempts on achieving targets, I met the unexpected…no coffee. At first, I thought that I wasn’t going to satisfy this desire but something in me kept me moving from shop to shop till I got the brand I felt for.

I came home to meet my hot water ready because I turned the kettle on before my coffee expedition. Also I had white sugar and milk so I was kind of ready for the mix. Whew! In next 2 minutes, with a tea spoon of sugar, my desired cup of hot coffee was ready. See, I could have spent my morning praying and nothing would have happened without any intentional actions.

Lesson:

God has placed in you some great desires that only you can make them happen. A lot of times we are made to believe that miracles happen on their own which is something that has no scriptural basis. Miracles happened in the pages of scripture when the recipients did what they could do regardless of how small their efforts were. Miracles happened when they obeyed the voice they heard by taking corresponding actions. Are you ready to take some steps or actions?

I could have stayed in bed, fasted and prayed for the whole day and the cup of coffee wouldn’t appear. Does that mean that God can’t do it? No. God can do all things but He doesn’t encourage laziness. He knows that His children are in a constant battle against dangerous enemies so He likes to toughen them to make things happen. God doesn’t entertain comfort zone because your enemy will soon turn it to danger zone.

Maybe you have been waiting for God to make the money, opportunity, or break appear, or make your heart desires to (just) appear…boom! It doesn’t happen like that. Everything you see were made by God. God did it. They didn’t appear on their own. God made them happen. When Jesus needed money to pay tax, or turned water to wine, or feed the multitude, He could have just made them appear out of nowhere yet He told the people around and/ or the disciples to take some actions. He told them to do the little things that made the big things happened. What are some of the little things you can do about your vision, dreams, desires of your heart, etc?

What fasting and prayer does is that it gives you the strength to do what you have in your heart. It makes you find favor so that the least you do triggers the supernatural.

Like my cup of coffee, you can make things happen. Every desire you have in your heart is possible. Get out from any comfort zone and start moving. It’s possible your first stop may say No but there is a Yes in your future…not a far distant future but a couple of steps or actions from whatever stage you are now. God is your strength. Keep going and Make things happen.

The 11th Hour Miracle (1min read)

I feel so passionate to share this message because deep within my spirit, I believe that God’s best for us this year shall come to pass. I believe in The 11th Hour Miracle.

It happens to me many times, just when I thought or begin to think that it’s over, then God shows up suddenly with an answer.

The 11th hour is the time when everything suggests that you give up. And the miracle comes in like your team scoring in the last minute of the stoppage time before the final whistle.  Often times December becomes the 11th hour and sadly many of God’s children give up on their dreams, targets, and/or plans for the year.

In Luke 5:5 (AMP),  Simon replied, “Master, we worked hard all night [to the point of exhaustion] and caught nothing [in our nets] (emphasis added).

  • Peter and Co were;
    • Experienced fishermen.
    • They worked hard all night.
    • They caught nothing.

Maybe you can relate to the above in that (1) you are experienced in your field (2) you have worked hard throughout the year seeking for opportunity or a break, or promotion, or an answer to a need, and (3) nothing has happened.

It’s heartbreaking especially when you have placed your hope and trust in God yet it appears that you are the only person not making progress in life. You have watched the clock ticked and the calendar rolled over from January to this day with nothing to show forth. Therefore, like Peter and colleagues, you have decided to wash your nets and give up.

The good news was that Jesus Christ came at the 11th hour to cause the miracle to happen and also to usher them into their divine mandate. I need you to believe that Nothing is too late for God. He doesn’t work according to our calendar/time but by our faith in Him.  Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame. (Psalm 25:3, ESV)

In this month, something good is about to happen in your life. It would be beyond your imagination and all the glory would go to the Lord. Are you ready to believe?

Peter and Co had their break at an odd time when everyone thought it would be impossible. They obeyed what the Lord said to them and the miracle happened. In the same way, be careful to obey what God speaks to your heart and you will never be put to shame. Anything you set your heart/mind to achieve this year is possible. It’s possible. Miracles happen at the 11th hour, and yours is on the way. Amen.
