GOD HASN’T GIVEN UP ON YOU

We talk about faith and encourage people to walk by faith but sometimes it is difficult to shift our focus from the storm. The storm could be the doctor’s report, your grades in school, your performance at work, the chaos at home, rejection, addictions, no job, no food on the table, etc. sometimes it becomes difficult to shift our focus from them when we see them right in front of us to focus on Jesus or believe in God’s promises concerning our lives.

Abraham encountered similar storm. He was about 90 years with no child and his wife had passed childbearing age. Her womb was as good as dead. When Sarah heard that she would bear a child at that age, the scripture says she laughed (because it didn’t make sense to her).
I know what about to say today may not make sense considering the fact that you have report about your situation on your desk. But please hear me;

God doesn’t depend on human knowledge. Thus what we think or see as impossible is possible with Him. All He needs from you now is your total trust in His Son Jesus Christ and He will take care of you.

For forty years you sustained them in the wilderness, and they lacked nothing. Their clothes did not wear out, and their feet did not swell! (Nehemiah 9:21 NLT)

If you continue trying to figure out how you are going to solve the problem your way, I am sorry to say that you will be consumed. Instead, leave everything to God. When Abraham believed, He had Isaac at 100. Praise The Lord!

Friend, God hasn’t given up on you so Keep on asking, Keep on seeking, and Keep on knocking. Know that He is faithful, and He will do all He has promised concerning your life in Jesus’ Name. Amen!

God bless you.

DON’T LIMIT GOD’S POWER TO PERFORM

His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” (John 2:5 NIV)

So often we talk to God about our needs and quote

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7, 8 NLT)

yet we don’t receive, find, and the door hasn’t been opened for ages. The problem is after we have prayed to God, we expect God to answer our requests our way. In other words, we want God to do it the way we perceive things to be. Example is what happened in 2 Kings 7 when Elisha prophesied that

“By this time tomorrow in the markets of Samaria, five quarts of choice flour will cost only one piece of silver, and ten quarts of barley grain will cost only one piece of silver. ”

The officer assisting the king believed otherwise. He replied

“That couldn’t happen even if the Lord opened the windows of heaven!” (2 Kings 7:1, 2 NLT)

That officer hadn’t seen, heard, or read in any book that famine could cease overnight so he told Elisha that it would never be possible. This guy didn’t live to see the miracle because he didn’t believe what the prophet said.

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. (Isaiah 55:8 NLT)

Some of us are praying to God for breakthrough yet when the Holy Spirit reveals to them how things are going to be, they doubt like the officer in 2 kings. I tell folks that we don’t need to understand how God works as some may be unreasonable according to our human knowledge. What we must do as believers is to believe everything He says, and do whatever He says without questioning.

In John 2, Mary told the servants to do whatever Jesus tells them to do. It was as if Mary knew what Jesus would do that was why she told them to comply with whatever Jesus says. Those servants saw God’s power when they did what they were told without questioning Jesus.

Friend I came to encourage you that whatever God tells you to say, say it. And whatever He tells you to do, do it. Don’t limit God’s power to perform to your reasoning. God has infinite power to work in a way that pleases Him.

God is about to surprise you this month. And He would work in a way you have never thought of before. It may look stupid or may not make sense when you give it a thought but Only Believe. Paul said

“This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.” (1 Corinthians 1:25 NLT).

When you obey what He tells you, you will see the miracle you have been praying for all these years in Jesus’ Name.
