One Reason to say “THANK YOU LORD”

2013 has been a wonderful year for me. God has shown Himself in a greater way. As a matter of fact, He has blessed me beyond what I expected and He is still doing more. This remind me of the scripture says that

You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed. (Joel 2:26 NIV).

Thank you Lord for all you have done, all you are doing, and all you are going to do for me, my family and lovely friends.

I don’t know what has happened in your life this year. God has been good to you, right? Or Maybe things haven’t been as you planned. People might have hurt you, or you are yet to receive answer(s) to your prayer request. No matter what the situation is, I believe you can find one reason today to say Thank You Lord.
God has done something precious in your life. Think about this; do you know the number of people that have died on the road you use each day? Do you know the number of people that have died from drinking water? Do you know the number of people that would have loved to see today? Someone wants to get up from bed but he can’t. Someone wants to receive phone call but he can’t lift his/her hands. Someone wants to say Hello on phone but he can’t talk. Friend the little things you do each day are not that easy for some folks. It’s not by your might, neither is it by your power but by the Spirit of God. You are alive today by the grace of God. Give thanks to the Lord today.

Find one reason to say Thank you Lord.
God bless us.

THE OLD WOMAN AND HER TV

20130216-185127.jpg

Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. (Job 1:21 NIV84)

I was only 12 years when my parents travelled. Everything was ok for me except that I had no TV in my room. I had to go to a friend’s house to watch my favourite programs but it wasn’t so romantic as my friend’s grand mum wouldn’t allow me to have a piece of mind. She would insult us from the start of a program to the end. Sometimes I wish I never went there again but there was no other option.

Four years later, my mother bought a desktop computer with TV card for me so I stopped watching TV from that house. I relocated to a different neighbourhood and later heard that my friend’s grand mum had passed away. She died living the TV behind. A year or two later, her husband also died living the TV behind. Initially, I thought she was going to go with the TV but it never happened that way.

Friend, don’t look down upon your neighbour because you have something he/she doesn’t have. Don’t put yourself in a certain class because of earthly pleasure(s). You are who you are, and what you are because of the Grace of God. It’s ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. (Zechariah 4:6 NIV84). The woman insulted me couple of times because of TV but she couldn’t carry it to eternity.

Naked you came from your mother’s womb, and it is certain that you will depart naked.

A LETTER TO GOD

I remember those days in the Sunday school; I was the last person to enter the class, the first person to shout Amen! to closing prayer, and the first person to step out of the class. However, one day, I can’t tell what came over me; I went to Church early, and stayed till closing. That day, I heard a story about a little girl. I want to share with you.

The story was about a girl who came from a very poor home. She had the desire to go to school. She had so many items she needed on her list; toys, bicycle, clothes, big mansion for the family but the family didn’t have the resources for them. One day, she heard a story about God’s willingness to supply all our needs according to His riches in Glory. She went to the shop, bought writing pad, and went straight home to write a letter to God. The salutation was “Dear God” and the address;

GOD

P. O. Box 1

Heaven

she ran to the post office to drop the letter in the post after folding the letter without putting it in an envelope. When she got there, she asked if the man next to her could put the letter in the post because of her height. The man, after seeing the addressee, was amazed at the little girl’s faith. He dropped the letter and followed the girl at a distance to see her house. Later he went back to pick the letter from the post office.

A week passed and the little girl received a parcel. She opened it and saw a letter; “I’ve received your letter. For the mean time, take this money for your fees, toys, bicycle, clothes, and some things your family would need. You would have your house later.”

A month later, the man went to the girl’s house, handed over a bunch of keys to the girl, and added “God wants me to give you one of my houses. You can stay there till you get your own house.” That little girl’s Faith turned the family’s life around for good. When Jesus said “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you” Luke 17:6 I believe He was in a way telling us to have faith like a little child. Every child believes the daddy is a super hero; he can provide everything he or she needs. We also must believe God has the Power to meet all our needs.

Like that little girl, if you can take a step of faith today, and do your part, I mean those things you can do with faith, God will do those you can’t. If you can do the natural, God will do the supernatural. If you can do the ordinary like that little girl, God will do the extraordinary.

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more that all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him I pray, that you receive strength and power to put your Faith to work.

IT IS WELL
