THE BIG SACRIFICE

For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

(John 3:16, NLT)

In order to draw man to Himself, God gave Jesus Christ. He was the Big Sacrifice to redeem us and to set us apart.

Jesus did not look at His status but gave up all. With such humility, God elevated Him to the Highest place of Authority.

You should think about things in the same way that Christ Jesus thought: Christ had the same nature as God. He was completely equal with God.
But he did not try to keep hold of that. Instead, he chose to leave heaven.
He took for himself the nature of a slave. He became like a human.
And when he lived as a man, he made himself even less important.
He obeyed God completely, so that he died. He even died on a cross!
Because of that, God then raised Jesus Christ to the most important place.
God gave him the name that is greater than every other name. As a result, when people hear Jesus’ name, they must worship him. Everyone will have to go down on their knees in front of him.
That includes everything that is in heaven,
everything on the earth and everything under the earth. Everyone will have to agree that Jesus Christ is Lord. When they say that aloud, they will show that God the Father is very great

Jesus knew the Cost yet He was determined to Carry the Cross so that you and I can sing Amazing Grace. He looked into the future with Love and Joy as he took one step ahead of the other into His death. He saw You and I spending eternity with Him. He loved us enough to go through the humiliation, pain, rejection, etc.

Today, we talk about Jesus being the big sacrifice but let me ask you, what sacrifice have you made for this Jesus? How are you living your life?

As we run, we must always look towards Jesus. He is the one who trusted God completely. Our faith starts with him, and he will help us to trust God all the way to the end. Jesus accepted punishment on the cross. He chose to receive much pain. He did not think about being ashamed to die like that. He knew that God had prepared something very good for him that would make him happy. Now he has sat down at the right side of God to rule with him in heaven.

(Hebrews 12: 2, EASY)

Your Sacrifice is your symbol of Humility and God will exalt you for whatever you (have) give(n) up for Him.

My Christian friends, God has been very kind to us. Because of that, I really want you to serve God with your whole life. Offer your bodies to him like a sacrifice that continues to live. Serve him with everything that you have and that will please him. That is the true way to worship God

(Romans 12:1, EASY)

Arise, Shine

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. (Isaiah 60:1, KJV)

The story would have been different if Jesus Christ hadn’t risen from the dead. Of course the enemy would have had the last laugh, probably laugh out loud (lol) knowing that he had defeated our Master at the battlefield. BUT God raised Jesus from the dead and He triumphed over Satan and his demons. He lives! Hallelujah! And because He lives, we live also.

The greatest victory is what Jesus won on the Cross. Remember Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35) and before His ministry, the Holy Spirit descended upon Him, enabling Him to carry out purpose on Earth, then He died. But God raised Him from the dead (Romans 8:11) on the third day. If Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless and your faith is useless” (1 Corinthians 15:14, NLT).

Christ victory wasn’t one off event as He ascended to The Father’s right hand and He is Reigning. He said in Luke 22:69 that “But from now on the Son of Man will be seated in the place of power at God’s right hand”.  In 1 Corinthians 15:25 (NLT) Paul said that “For Christ must reign until he humbles all his enemies beneath his feet.” Jesus is reigning, and the Spirit that made Jesus the Christ is at work in you. Your body is His temple.

“If the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Romans 8:11, KJV)

Jesus has given us victory over sin, over Satan and his demons, and over anything they would try to do to hurt us. Therefore Arise, Shine. You are no longer a slave because God paid the price to set you free. And The same Spirit that made Jesus the Christ lives in you. This means that you are full of capabilities. No wonder Jesus said “whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. (John 14:12, NIV). Your greatest asset in this life is the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life.

To Arise means to recognise that you are God’s masterpiece and that you are above every situation or challenge that might come your way. It also means to see yourself as God sees you. If you see yourself as one miserable sinner, poor, disease prone, fearful, and the likes after the price God paid, then you have not arisen. And to Shine is to walk in the victory God, through Jesus Christ, has given you. You show forth His glory. That is people should be able to tell that you are God’s precious possession by the way you live, and your life shows His goodness.

In this year, let others see Jesus in you. Say No to things that defile your body, the temple of the Holy Spirit, so that He (Holy Spirit) can have His way in you and unearth your greatest potentials. Know that sickness, disappointment, failure, rejections, bad reports, fear of unknown, poverty, scarcity, barrenness, infertility, disease, pains, etc are under your feet. You have power over them so begin to light up and SHINE! God bless you
