DAY 1 – WHY DID JESUS COME TO DIE?

His KingdomListen! The Lord ’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call. It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore. (Isaiah 59:1, 2 NLT)

Easter season is here and believers all over the world are remembering the death, resurrection, and the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ. I was watching The Passion of Christ this morning when The Holy Spirit said “It was worse than these. The beating you see, the insults you hear, the spitting, mocking, etc. None of the things you see on this TV can be compared to what actually happened. Jesus truly suffered for you.” I broke into tears…

The question is Why did Jesus have to go through these?…Why did Jesus come to die?

When Adam sinned, the whole world sinned. Sin created a gap between God and mankind. So Satan ceased that opportunity to bring pains and suffering upon mankind. Something needed to be done to bring mankind back to God. The Good news was Gabriel appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him Mary will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21 NLT). Hallelujah!

  • Listen! The Lord ’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call. It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore. (Isaiah 59:1, 2 NLT).
  • Mary will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21, NLT)

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, (Romans 3:23-25 NLT)

His Kingdom

Jesus came to save us from our sins and their effects. We couldn’t have paid the price, and no other blood could have saved us but God loved us so much that He gave up His Son, Jesus, in order to draw us to Himself. Jesus came to clear the mess Adam created in Eden. Now God’s ear is opened to listen to us. That was why even before the Cross, Jesus said in  Matthew 7:7-8 (CEV) that  “Ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. Everyone who asks will receive. Everyone who searches will find. And the door will be opened for everyone who knocks”

Jesus made this possible by dying on the Cross for you and I. We have been made right with God thus we can come boldly to His throne. Let us therefore say no to sin and live lives that please the Father. We have a new nature now as God, through His Spirit, is living in us.

What sin, behaviour, action, attitude, fellowship, relationship, etc is keeping you distant from God?

Know that He came first as a lamb but in His Second Coming, He is coming to Judge all. Nothing really matters than your soul because at the end of the day, when your body returns to the dust your soul would remain. Satan is after your Soul so cease this opportunity while there is time and make it right with God. Jesus Loves Us

BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS (Part 1)

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. (Ephesians 6:10 NIV)

God created man in His image and likeness. He didn’t create man to compete, but to dominate. He wants us to take control over everything He created in the beginning. Therefore we must dominate our businesses, finances, and our relationship with other people. As a matter of fact, He wants us to rule over every aspect of our lives. Friend, you need to be strong and courageous in order to dominate. You cannot dominate when you are afraid to move forward. You cannot dominate when you live in fear. You cannot dominate when you have evil report about your situation. And you cannot dominate when you believe every lie satan whispers into your ears. Be strong in The Lord and in His mighty Power.

God created everything Adam would need before He made him. He made sure there were food, water, animals, plants, etc. before forming man. Again, He promised Abraham that He has given Canaan to his descendants so many years before Joshua got to the river Jordan. And all Joshua had to do that time was to move forward to possess the Land. God told him to be Strong and courageous. Here is my point; God finished everything about you before He allowed you into your mother’s womb. And now you need to be strong and courageous to possess everything He has promised you. Fear will let you settle for less, therefore don’t be afraid of storms of life because they can’t stop you from reaching your final destination.

When you are strong in The Lord, nothing intimidates you. You fix your eyes on Jesus as you move forward to reap all the harvests God has promised you and your family. Don’t forget God created you to dominate. Next time you are scheduled for an interview, exam, appointment, medical checkup, etc, remember God has already given you the victory. So you walk in, be confident, and take it in Jesus’ Name.

IS THE LORD’S HAND WAXED SHORT?

“Is the Lord’s hand waxed short?”

We answer there is but one creature that God has made that ever doubts Him! The little sparrows doubt not—though they have no barn nor field, yet they sweetly sing at night as they go to their roosts, though they know not where tomorrow’s meal shall be found. The very cattle trust Him, and even in days of drought, you have seen them when they pant for thirst, how they expect the water—how the very first token of it makes them show in their very animal frame, by some dumb language, that they felt that God would not leave them to perish! The angels never doubt Him, nor the devils either—devils believe and tremble! But it was left for man—the most favored of all creatures—to mistrust his God! This high, this black, this infamous sin of doubting the power and faith- fulness of Jehovah was reserved for the fallen race of rebellions Adam! And we alone, out of all the beings that God has ever fashioned, dishonor Him by unbelief, and tarnish His honor by mistrust!
Charles Spurgeon
