You’ll Win

You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.

(Genesis 50:20, NLT)

You’ll Win. How do I know that? Simple: You’re a child of God and that’s your destiny. You’re destined to win. This piece would touch on Two Things you can do in order to secure this Win.

  1. Trust in the Author of Life:
    • You were brought on earth for specific assignment. God carefully planned your days before permitting you into the womb. That’s why out of some 200 millions sperms that were released from your Father, only One (you) got to the egg quicker. When you see the person “YOU” in the mirror, tell him/her that “You’re a Wonder, a Fighter, a Survival, and a Winner”. In effect, you were born a winner because you were faster than the 99.99999% sperms that couldn’t make it.
    • God’s plan for you to win was beyond conception. His prime goal is for you to achieve your purpose. He’s not giving up on you that’s why you’ve got to Trust Him. Trust that He’ll watch over His word or promises concerning your life to perform it.
    • Always talk to Him about every details of your life. That’s how trust is built. Your constant fellowship with Him ushers you onto greater heights that would enable you to have better view of His plan for your life.
  2. Trust the Process:
    • The pathway to your destiny were carefully mapped out by God. He factored your strength and weakness which makes it possible to have ups and lows. He also considered external factors that could impact your journey like people conspiring against you, famine, natural disasters, economic downturn, political instability, etc. Whatever it would take for you to win has been thought of and destiny helpers assigned to help you through.
    • You’ve got to trust the process. Nobody, ever lived, understood how God worked in their lives. They only trusted that since God was on their side, it would be well. That was why Joseph said that “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” God led Joseph to the end. His life was amazing despites some 13years of turbulences. He trusted God. He trusted the process. This enabled him to stand firm in temptation and incarceration.
    • Don’t stress yourself trying to figure out how God works because you won’t. This is one fact about life. If God should reveal what would happen and how people you call family and friends would treat you, there are many things you wouldn’t do, and many people you wouldn’t talk to. However, those events and/or people’s treatments are meant to catapult you into your destiny…like Joseph.
    • Trusting the process also means Trusting God’s leadership. The scripture says in Proverbs 20:24 that The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?
    • You can take a lesson from a passenger airliner. When you get on board, you either worry or enjoy. That’s you either worry about how the pilot would handle turbulences or emergencies, or you enjoy the journey believing that the pilot and entire crew are experienced to do their best under any circumstances.

Conclusion:

There are many things you don’t understand now and there would be couple of others you probably won’t understand till you die. But one thing is certain; God wouldn’t permit more than you can carry. He has equipped you so much so that if your remain faithful and live righteously, you would always come out better. Always remember that the One who helped you to outrun millions of sperms to fertilize the egg still sits on the throne and He is helping to achieve His glorious plans. This is why I strongly believe that You’ll Win. God bless you.

Start Again

Winning is a good thing because it makes us happy and urges us to keep moving on. The serenity that comes with it is an awesome experience (like lullaby) that put your body, soul and spirit to sleep. I love to WIN, after all nobody starts a journey with a goal of losing.

The other side is Failure. Nobody wants to fail, not even the team at the bottom of the league table. However, our teachers spent more time teaching us how to react to success than to failure or set back. Failures were associated with shame, pains, and (in my primary school) some strokes of at the back. Parents easily shame their kids for failing. Friends laugh at colleagues, etc. Culturally, it hurts to Fail so people who fail give up easily.

The reality is that Success and Failure are part of the journey. The Bible calls certain periods “troubled times”, or “time of disaster”. It chance upon us all. Those are times we experience failures, setbacks, disappointments, rejections, not finding our foots, etc. They come not to destroy us but build our resilience for God and our trust in His word. If we were properly trained to deal with failures and disappointments at the early stages of our lives, these times would not catch us by surprise.

Maybe your orientation about dealing with Failure wasn’t the best, the scripture provides some assurance for you as a child of God. In Proverbs 24:26, the scripture says that For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, But the wicked stumble in time of disaster and collapse. In effect, Failure doesn’t stop you. You keep pressing on till you Win the race. God has promised to be with His children through the waters and fire. In the wilderness, He has promised to lead us and provide water to quench our thirst. His word would guide us to Succeed in the end if only we don’t give up.

You are a poor specimen if you can’t stand the pressure of adversity

(Proverbs 24:10, TLB)

Do not rejoice against me, O my enemy, for though I fall, I will rise again! When I sit in darkness, the Lord himself will be my Light.

(Micah 7:8, TLB)

The world we live in is experiencing a time of disaster and many homes are hit. It’s possible your plans for the year are thrown into disarray. You look at the clock and start to think IT’S OVER. People you know may appear to be on track but know that this your “night period” may be their “day period” or they are resiliently optimistic and pushing through their “night period”. Be encouraged to pick yourself up and Start Again because God isn’t through with you yet.

Thought For The Day: Are You Ready? (11.11.20)

But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed.

Like the grains of Sand through the Hourglass, so are your Days on earth. It could also be that Jesus Christ would appear before the last grain of sand drops. Whichever way that might be, the question is; Are You Ready To Stand before the Judgement seat of God? What can you do to make a change today?
