You’ll Win

You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.

(Genesis 50:20, NLT)

You’ll Win. How do I know that? Simple: You’re a child of God and that’s your destiny. You’re destined to win. This piece would touch on Two Things you can do in order to secure this Win.

  1. Trust in the Author of Life:
    • You were brought on earth for specific assignment. God carefully planned your days before permitting you into the womb. That’s why out of some 200 millions sperms that were released from your Father, only One (you) got to the egg quicker. When you see the person “YOU” in the mirror, tell him/her that “You’re a Wonder, a Fighter, a Survival, and a Winner”. In effect, you were born a winner because you were faster than the 99.99999% sperms that couldn’t make it.
    • God’s plan for you to win was beyond conception. His prime goal is for you to achieve your purpose. He’s not giving up on you that’s why you’ve got to Trust Him. Trust that He’ll watch over His word or promises concerning your life to perform it.
    • Always talk to Him about every details of your life. That’s how trust is built. Your constant fellowship with Him ushers you onto greater heights that would enable you to have better view of His plan for your life.
  2. Trust the Process:
    • The pathway to your destiny were carefully mapped out by God. He factored your strength and weakness which makes it possible to have ups and lows. He also considered external factors that could impact your journey like people conspiring against you, famine, natural disasters, economic downturn, political instability, etc. Whatever it would take for you to win has been thought of and destiny helpers assigned to help you through.
    • You’ve got to trust the process. Nobody, ever lived, understood how God worked in their lives. They only trusted that since God was on their side, it would be well. That was why Joseph said that “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” God led Joseph to the end. His life was amazing despites some 13years of turbulences. He trusted God. He trusted the process. This enabled him to stand firm in temptation and incarceration.
    • Don’t stress yourself trying to figure out how God works because you won’t. This is one fact about life. If God should reveal what would happen and how people you call family and friends would treat you, there are many things you wouldn’t do, and many people you wouldn’t talk to. However, those events and/or people’s treatments are meant to catapult you into your destiny…like Joseph.
    • Trusting the process also means Trusting God’s leadership. The scripture says in Proverbs 20:24 that The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?
    • You can take a lesson from a passenger airliner. When you get on board, you either worry or enjoy. That’s you either worry about how the pilot would handle turbulences or emergencies, or you enjoy the journey believing that the pilot and entire crew are experienced to do their best under any circumstances.

Conclusion:

There are many things you don’t understand now and there would be couple of others you probably won’t understand till you die. But one thing is certain; God wouldn’t permit more than you can carry. He has equipped you so much so that if your remain faithful and live righteously, you would always come out better. Always remember that the One who helped you to outrun millions of sperms to fertilize the egg still sits on the throne and He is helping to achieve His glorious plans. This is why I strongly believe that You’ll Win. God bless you.

God Answers Prayer 1: Lessons from Hezekiah

Do you know the story the King who prayed for God to change His verdict within minutes after hearing it? His name is Hezekiah, the son of Ahaz.

There is something special about this King and his story because when God told him that his time was up, with no child, he was able to “convince” God to change his story. And received 15 more years.

  • What made him special and how relevant was he after his dead?
  • What can we learn from his story in order to tap into that “soft point” of God to have answers to our prayers quicker?

His Life in Summary:

  • He became king at age 25 and reigned for 29 years.
  • He did what was right in the sight of God.
  • He trusted in the Lord God of Israel, so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor were before him
  • He held fast to the Lord and did not depart from following him
  • He kept God’s commandments.
  • God prospered him wherever he went.
  • When the enemy threatened him with letter, he took the letter to the house of the Lord and spread it before the Lord, and prayed.
  • He had no child, got sick and was near death
  • God sent Isaiah to tell him that it was over. So he should prepare and come home
  • He immediately turn his face toward the wall and prayed to God.
  • Before Isaiah got into the middle court, God sent answers to his prayer.
  • He got additional 15 years and gave birth to Manasseh who became king at age 12.
  • He died rich.
  • Jesus Christ was traced to him
  • What a life he lived.

It’s easy for many christian to want to pray and expect God to treat them like He did with Hezekiah. But they pay less/no attention to what Hezekiah did to attract that favor. Bishop TD Jakes once said that In order to enjoy what TD Jakes is enjoying, you must be ready to sacrifice and do what TD Jakes did. In other words, You can’t simply wish for a person’s successes without being ready to pay the price.

Three Things to LEARN:

  1. He feared God and served Him diligently: How is your relationship with God like? Do you have reverence for God? Do you give Him your BEST (time, energy, and other resources)? Do you obey His commandments? Do you serve Him with your gifts? Do you honor God with what you have, including your body? Do you love Him with all your heart, soul, and strength?
  2. He Trusted in God: Trust is fundamental to any great relationship. Proverbs 3 says Trust in the Lord with all your heart. How committed are you to God? Do you Trust him enough to let him handle your cases or situations? Do you Trust His promises concerning your Life? Are you able to wait and trust His timing? If He says “GO“, do you just go or apply some reasoning/logic? Do you really TRUST God?
  3. He talked to God about everything: When the enemy sent him the letter, He presented the letter to God. This show how close he was with God. He said (in my own words) “God do you read what I read? what are you going to do about it? if you don’t act, they will destroy your people”. When last you heard that good/bad news, who was the first person you talked to? How close is your relationship with God? How often do you talk to Him? And what do you talk to Him about? It’s interesting that as soon as he heard news about his death, he immediately turned to God. This was his habit.

God is able to give you the desires of your heart. He is faithful to His word and if you would diligently seek Him, you will find Him. If you draw near to Him, He will draw near to Him. Don’t just hope for the supernatural but begin to live in ways that would trigger the supernatural.
God answers prayers because He remains committed. The question is How committed are you?

Power Thought: Week 7

cropped-eagle.jpgBut those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31, NLT) emphasis added

Kings will be your attendants, And their princesses your nurses. They will bow down to you with their faces to the earth. And lick the dust of your feet; And you shall know [with an understanding based on personal experience] that I am the LordFor they shall not be put to shame who wait and hope expectantly for Me. (Isaiah 49:23, AMP) emphasis added

For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will not be disappointed [in his expectations].” (Romans 10:11, AMP) emphasis added

Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am [actively] watching over My word to fulfill it.” (Jeremiah 1:12, AMP) emphasis added

Conclusion:

God is watching over His word to fulfill it, therefore as you wait, trust, hope, and believe in Him, your expectations shall never be cut off. You will not be disappointed in your expectations.
