Beware of The Liar’s Whisper

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

(1 Peter 5:8, NLT)

There is no doubt that Satan is smart. After all he existed before you were born and he understands this world better. That is why I believe that no human in his natural capabilities can defeat him. Don’t be deceived when someone tells you that Satan is no match for you when you have no relationship with Jesus Christ.

The mastermind of all deceits is Satan. He knows the scriptures too so he is able to twist the truth for his purpose. Nothing on this earth is new to him but he is a liar. Jesus said ‘He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies. ‘ (John 8:44,NLT)

Satan knows how to whisper into your ears, right down into your soul. He waits for an opportunity to present his facts about the situation, add all dots to make it appear real. He can make you doubt your partner without a cause, and also make you hate your neighbor for nothing. Has it ever happened to you when every action of your neighbor had a meaning and fits perfectly into certain narrative you had perceived. Then you later approached him/her only to realize that he/she meant no harm and was even surprised that you would think that way.

The Liar’s whisper is real and prevalent. He would whisper about your health, work, business, finances, family and relationship with people, church, etc. He is probably whispering into your ears now. Beware! Don’t believe his lies “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:20, NLT)

‘Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. ‘

Why You Should Intercede In Prayer (30sec Read)

Satan wants your attention. His goal is to shift your focus from God thereby destroying the relationship you have with Him through Jesus Christ. He does this by either attacking you or something and/or someone you love. Often a strong believer spends more time praying for himself or herself and ignores the people and things he/she cares about. But remember that when the enemy cannot attack you, he attacks someone or something close to you. His goal? Your attention.

Jesus prayed for Peter in Luke 22. In Verse 31 and 32 He said “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat.  But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.

Satan knew that he could not match Jesus Christ in power and glory so he went after the Rock upon which Jesus’ church would be built. Imagine that if Jesus had kept to himself and not prayed for those around Him, Satan could have had his way in Peter’s life and ministry, as well as the other disciples.

Therefore this week as you carry on with your busy schedule(s) and pray for yourself, remember those around you. Pray for them because you may not know what they are going through. Pray for your supervisor, employer, employee, stakeholders, friends, family, church, leaders, etc. Satan would always seek ways to get your attention so Watch and Pray. God bless you.

Watch and Pray

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy

(John 10:10, AMP)

give thanksThe enemy’s goal is to incapacitate you, and to bring you to ruin. An illustration of incapacitating can be seen in WWE Raw when an opponent attacks the other and ensures that he is unable to move and/or can do nothing.

Be wise because Satan is smarter than you thought and he works in subtle ways to keep you from praying. Yet PRAYER is a tool you can use to defeat him and his demons.

As we head to the end of this year, stay alert, be on guard, watch, and Pray. I don’t know how your year has been but regardless of how things have turned out this year, Prayer can turn things around for better.

The best way to defend is to attack so don’t wait for Satan and his demons to attack before you pray. Pray now because you Faith might not be strong enough to turn things around under attack.

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Matthew 26:41, KJV)

Never stop praying. (1 Thessalonians 5:17, ERV)

Pray in the Spirit at all times. Pray with all kinds of prayers, and ask for everything you need. To do this you must always be ready. Never give up. Always pray for all of God’s people. (Ephesians 6:18, ERV)
