Call to WAIT on the Lord

I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

(Lamentations 3:24-26, NIV)

Keep waiting on the Lord and He will surely do you good. God bless you.

My Little Story: HOME IS BEST

I want to share a personal story with you today. When I was 7 years, I was very stubborn. Everyone knew me to be one boy who had no future. One day I insulted mummy and left home as I was scared she would beat me. At 21:00 GMT, I realized that I had no other place to go but home. I was very weak and my friends had gone to their various houses. There was no one to help me so I finally decided to go home. I entered the house, went straight to mummy, knelt down, and said “Mummy I am very sorry for causing you much pains. Please forgive me. I won’t insult you again.” Mummy wept and said “I want the best for you son”. She got me food to eat, water to bath, and I told her all I went through when I left home. The funny part was she gave me some whips the following morning. To whom the father loves, he disciplines.

Lesson:

Someone once said “East or West, Home is Best.” Sometimes we may fall/sin. That is we may go against what God wants us to do. But I have learnt from my years of walking with Him that the best place to be when a christian falls/sin is in his court. For instance When David sinned against God, he went straight to Him for forgiveness. David knew the best place to be when Nathan convicted him of his sin was in God’s presence. In Psalm 51:11, he said “Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me.”

Friend, Satan will tell you that you don’t qualify to talk to God when you go wrong. He will tell you God is mad at you. All these are lies he uses to keep us away from our Father in Heaven. I am not encouraging people to sin. However, if anyone falls into any temptation or sin, home is the best place to be. Don’t stay outside. God is waiting for you.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9, NIV)

I came to encourage you that there is no sin on earth that the Blood of Jesus cannot wash away. Please come home, come to the Father. David slept with a woman, killed her husband when the woman got pregnant, and married her.  When he prayed to God with a broken and repentant heart, God forgave him.

Don’t let Satan deceive you into thinking that God is mad at you.

Let us encourage one another. Let us reach out to people who have left home because of their mistakes or sins in the past (and thinking God will never forgive them) Jesus is coming soon.

Say this prayer:

Father I thank you that you are ready to forgive me my sins. I made a mistake but there is no better place than home. Nobody can save me but You. Do not banish me from your presence and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Please forgive me and purify me from all unrighteousness. Your Word says that even if we feel guilty, You are greater than our feelings, and You know everything. Father you are greater and bigger than the sins I have ever committed. Strengthen me today in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

ETERNITY

Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.

The question today is;

ARE YOU WAITING FOR HIM?

Keep watching because you do not know the day or the hour.

Life without Christ is like a shattered dream. So often we talk about how peter denied Jesus. Hey! We do worse sometimes; Stealing, bribery, lying, backbiting, gossiping, sexual immorality, abortion, robbery, cheating, etc. It is not very uncommon to see a Christian cheating an unbeliever (the very person he/she is supposed to win for the Kingdom), and he/she would use the same money to pay for his/her tithe. Remember, the Lord patience means salvation. He doesn’t want any of us to perish. WHAT SHALL IT PROFIT YOU IF YOU GAIN THE WORLD AND LOSE YOUR SOUL? What can you give in exchange for your soul?

Beloved, there is life after death. We are on transit and very soon, the trumpet will sound for our departure to the beautiful city. Jesus is coming to take us home. In John 14:2, He said “in my Father’s house are many rooms…I am going there to prepare a place for you”. The body you see today will pass away very soon but your soul will remain.

Be sure to make the right decision now? Choose you this day how you are going to live your life.  Heaven is real, so is hell.

WHERE WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY?
