God Uses People To Bless People

Opportunity knocks at our doors every day but it comes in a form that has to be unraveled before one can notice. Every person you see is an opportunity in disguise. That is an opportunity to tell someone about Jesus Christ, an opportunity to get help, an opportunity to sell your idea, opportunity to make money, network, etc. It would interest you to know that your next big thing could be the next person you meet or interact with.

Hebrews put it this way:

Do not neglect to extend hospitality to strangers [especially among the family of believers—being friendly, cordial, and gracious, sharing the comforts of your home and doing your part generously], for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.

(Hebrews 13:2, AMP)

It’s not always the case that you will meet people like Richard Branson, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, CEOs and MDs, etc before you think of opportunity. Sometimes it could be the security man at the entrance, an employee, a taxi driver, or a stranger in some distress situation. Thus care should be taken so that your ego and/or pride does not become a blockade to your blessings. Remember that Naaman got to hear about Elisha through a slave maid (2 Kings 5:1-17) and David was able to recover all that was stolen when he helped that poor guy who was left behind by his master to die (1 Samuel 30).

You have no idea who God has sent your way to be a blessing therefore be mindful of how you interact with people.

My Little Story; Encounter with an Angel

This was one of my shocking moments as a young guy in the High School. I went home one weekend hoping to get money for the month. Unfortunately for me that weekend, I couldn’t get what I had planned because my parents hadn’t sent money to my aunties.

I picked taxi back to school trusting that everything would be just ok for my parents to send money. As soon as I got down from the taxi, a woman from nowhere approached me and asked if I could support her with money for transport. I gave her part of the little money I had and she was so so grateful. All she said was “God bless you my son“.
I turned back after about 5-10 seconds to see what she was…but this woman was nowhere behind me. At that time no passenger car had stopped at the bus stop so she couldn’t have boarded one. She vanished. I quickly rushed to school and told some friends who laughed at me for weeks and sometimes try to scare me with that memory at night.

God blessed me in various ways for what I did. I later realised that God sent that woman for a purpose, which was to bless me beyond measure. In that month, I had money to spend, money to give out, and money to save.

God will test your obedience to His Word in various ways so be sure to pass the test for your blessings.

Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it! (Hebrews 13:2 NLT)
