Someone Needs Your Help

Some people give freely and gain more; others refuse to give and end up with less. Give freely, and you will profit. Help others, and you will gain more for yourself.

(Proverbs 11:24-25, ERV)

Yesterday I shared The Poor Need You Now which became message to ponder on throughout the night. I believe it’s timely and God wants us to reach out and help those who are crying on Him day and night. I have a photo to show, a screenshot meant to encourage you do more in this crisis time.

This message caught my attention and I am wondering the number of people (globally) that are similar situations today. The fact is; the only time the weight of your gift can be felt much is in period of crisis. That’s moment when the strong grows weak and the weak grows weaker.

You can be a reason for someone to thank God today.

Proverbs 11:25 says Help others, and you will gain more for yourself. As stated in yesterday’s post, your giving is a loan to God and He will pay you back for your kindness. This explains why when you help others, you gain more for yourself.

What happens when you ignore this call?

Well, the One who gave you strength to get what you have would have some words for you…maybe now or when He returns.
In Matthew 25:31-46, there are two categories of people. Those who helped the needy and those who refused. Here is what the King will say to those who refused:

“The king will answer, ‘The truth is, anything you refused to do for any of my people here, you refused to do for me.’

(Matthew 25:43, ERV)

In effect, we have two options as God’s children at this crucial time. Either to reach out and help to receive more in return from God, or be stingy and selfish, thinking only about ourselves and be turned away because the Master would say we refused to help him.

Conclusion:

Helping people should be part of what we do but time like this requires us to do more because people have lost their jobs, they can’t go out, and worrying and anxiety is flooding many homes. It’s our CALL to reach out and be a blessing.

Blessings for doing Good

favorSo let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith. (Galatians 6:9, 10 NLT)

There is a reward for every good thing you do. When you put smile on your neighbour’s face, God rewards you. When you say No to sin, God rewards you. When you overcome temptation, God rewards you. When you overcome addiction, God rewards you. When you support the needy, God rewards you. When you do what is right in your society, God rewards you.

You have account in Heaven that God credits with every good thing you do. The returns on this investment could come in many forms: It could be long life, new ideas, new opportunities, healthy living, uncommon favour, better job, better spouse, and the best of all is internal life.

I can testify that I have been blessed beyond measure since I understood this principle. The Lord has been good to me and I believe that it is part of the returns on my investment in heaven. I don’t lack in life as God always send me help from His sanctuary. I am still striving to credit my account each blessed day by doing good with help of the Holy Spirit.

Be encouraged to continue doing good (as small as you can each day) in your little corner for God is watching, and He is rewarding you for every little thing you do to help your neighbour and yourself.

God bless you
