THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: July 16, 2013

Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— he remains faithful forever. He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free, the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous. (Psalm 146:5-8 NIV)

My BIBLE

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (Matthew 24:35 NLT)

Voltaire said “One hundred years from today the Bible will be a forgotten book.” Today, Voltaire is gone and his house was used as the book depository for the French Bible Society. They sold Bibles out of his house! It’s now a museum. People have forgotten Voltaire. Nobody forgets the Bible. This confirms what Jesus said “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” (Matthew 24:35 NLT)

I study my Bible everyday, and I meditate on it day and night. These two move together. After I have studied it, I say what it says. The more I study and meditate, the more it becomes part of me. The Bible directs my thoughts, it shapes my words, it tells me what to do, and it is leading me to where God has destined me to be.

My Bible contains words that lift me up when I am down. I am what it says I am, I can do what it says I can do, and it gives me hope to face the unknown. I have one on my Bed, one on my study table, one on my phone, and other places.

I don’t know what you do with your Bible but I will encourage you to continue studying your Bible. Meditate on it day and night, do what is written in it, and I can assure you that you will succeed in all you do. Your life will never be the same in Jesus’ Name. Amen

My HELP comes from the Lord

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let my foot slip—
he who watches over me will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD watches over me—

the LORD is my shade at my right hand;
the sun will not harm me by day,
nor the moon by night.

The LORD will keep me from all harm—

he will watch over my life;

the LORD will watch over my coming and going

both now and forevermore in Jesus’ Name.

AMEN!
