Our Prayer for August 2013

imageFather we Bless Your Name for this new month. Many would have wished to see this beautiful morning (01/08/2013) but they are nowhere to be found. We thank You for the gift of life, we thank You for the forgiveness of sin, and we thank You for our constant victory in Christ Jesus.
We are convinced beyond all reasonable doubts that You are more than able to see us through this month. In this month, we know that You will not withhold any good thing from us (in our families, jobs, businesses, relationships, etc.) in Jesus’ Name.
Bless your children today.
We thank You Father. We glorify Your Name. In Jesus’ Name
Amen!

ARE YOU PREPARING YOUR FIELD?

He hath made everything beautiful in his time. (Ecclesiastes 3:11 KJV)

There is a set time for everything you need. It could be today, tomorrow, next week, or next year. It takes faith to trust in God’s timing. That is we must be ready to receive. This reminds me of what happened in the movie FACING THE GIANTS. Mr Bridge’s words motivated Coach Taylor to prepare his field against the Giants.

Mr. Bridges: Two farmers desperately needed rain. And both of them prayed for rain but only one of them went out and prepared his fields to receive it. Which one do you think trusted God to send the rain?

Coach Taylor: Well the one who prepared his fields for it.

Mr. Bridges: Which one are you? God will send the rain when He is ready. It’s your job to prepare your field to receive it.

God will do His part and I believe He is waiting for you to make room to receive.

I heard a story about a guy who needed a 32″ TV from his father. His father told him there was no space for the TV in his (the boy) room. The father traveled one weekend and when he returned, his son had given out his old TV and other things to create enough space for the 32″ TV. When his dad saw his faith, he bought the TV for him the following day.

God wants you to stay in faith. He wants you to prepare your field to receive. The farmer who prepared his field believed that God would send the rain. He didn’t have to wait for a sign. He believed that God was more than able to pour down rain. How about you? do you trust God will send rain? In Mark 11:24, Jesus said, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.“

God will open the windows of heaven for you. He will pour out a great blessing you won’t have enough room to take it in! Malachi 3:10. But the truth is you must be ready to receive. You have to prepare your field to receive His blessings.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE THIS CHRISTMAS

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever– (John 14:16 NIV84)

Christmas season is here with us again. It is a season when people reunite with their families and loved ones to remember the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a season of joy, hope, and happiness. However, the issues of this life are going weigh some of us down. Satan will try to steal their joy, and happiness. He will come with sicknesses, fear, pains, disappointment, rejection, worrying, etc. Do not forget that his job is to steal, kill, and destroy BUT Jesus came that we may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). (John 10:10 AMP).
The MSG translation says “I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.” (John 10:10 MSG). Jesus came so that you can have real and eternal life, more and better life than you ever dreamed of this Christmas. Know that Jesus has not only given but He also wants to enjoy life, and have it in abundance. God is with you this Christmas.

Jesus promised the Holy Spirit before He left. He said “I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever”. The provision was made before He left because He did not want leave us as orphans. We have the Counselor who teaches us all things, and reminds us of everything Jesus had said. As a result, when satan comes with his lies to steal, kill, and destroy our health, job, peace, marriage, relationship with God, relationship with other people, our love for God, the Holy Spirit promptly reminds us of what Jesus had said concerning our lives. Remember Jesus said He came that we may have, and enjoy life, and have it in abundance to the full, till it overflows.

Be encouraged that you are not alone this Christmas. The Holy Spirit is on the inside of you, and I believe you are going to have a great time in Jesus’ Name.
