I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.
(Ecclesiastes 9:11, NLT) emphasis added
Think about these:
How was David able to get to the battlefield at the point when Goliath was defying God, words that make David angry enough to want to kill Him? (1 Samuel 17)
How did the widow get to the palace about the time when Gehazi was telling on her story to the king? (2 Kings 8)
It wasn’t coincidence but God ordering their steps to be at the right place at the right time. Going forward, I am only trusting that God orders your steps in order for you to be at the right place at the right time…just when your help is needed.
Reading this post isn’t any coincidence but a reminder that Be ready to be thrust into the next higher level of your life. You will be at the right place at the right time. Hallelujah!
You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.
(Psalm 18:36, NLT)
When you have to walk on a tightrope, you need balance and focus. You would also have to practice and practice in order to perfect. If you are acrophobia, then thin line (tightrope) or narrow path wouldn’t be your thing, especially at a higher level.
Here is the thing: God has destined for you to go higher in life but the path uphill is thin like the tightrope. You need balance and focus. You must let go many things like worry and anxiety, anger, bitterness, lust, greed, etc to maintain balance. And to Focus, you must get rid of distractions. An example of distraction is comparing yourself to someone. I think it would be right to say that Balance enhances Focus.
God knows that apart from these two (balance and focus), the enemy will throw anything at you in order to get you off the line. Picture yourself on a tightrope at about 500 feet above and someone is throwing stones at you. Your enemy wants you to stumble and fall. Therefore He (God) has enlarged the path beneath you so that you don’t have to be on a tightrope. This will help you to maintain balance and move to achieve His purposes for your life.
When you journey on a path like the one above, maintaining balance is easy. This is what God has done for you. In Psalm 18:36, David said that God has made a wide path for his feet to keep them from slipping. With this (wide) path, David was assured of balance and he could run faster if need be. He had enemies who wanted him to fall at different stages of his life. His in-laws sought after his death and his son came fiercely to take away the throne. In spite of these, David had balance and was focused because God had him covered.
This is true for you as well. Your journey uphill maybe tough especially if your parents didn’t provide solid foundation and you have to dig your (own) way through. You will have enemies targeting your progress but know that your God has enlarged the path beneath you and He is making your steps secure. Don’t be afraid of what you see but let your actions be inspired by your Faith and keep moving forward. If you don’t give up, You will Succeed. God bless You!
You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.
(Genesis 50:20, NLT)
You’ll Win. How do I know that? Simple: You’re a child of God and that’s your destiny. You’re destined to win. This piece would touch on Two Things you can do in order to secure this Win.
Trust in the Author of Life:
You were brought on earth for specific assignment. God carefully planned your days before permitting you into the womb. That’s why out of some 200 millions sperms that were released from your Father, only One (you) got to the egg quicker. When you see the person “YOU” in the mirror, tell him/her that “You’re a Wonder, a Fighter, a Survival, and a Winner”. In effect, you were born a winner because you were faster than the 99.99999% sperms that couldn’t make it.
God’s plan for you to win was beyond conception. His prime goal is for you to achieve your purpose. He’s not giving up on you that’s why you’ve got to Trust Him. Trust that He’ll watch over His word or promises concerning your life to perform it.
Always talk to Him about every details of your life. That’s how trust is built. Your constant fellowship with Him ushers you onto greater heights that would enable you to have better view of His plan for your life.
Trust the Process:
The pathway to your destiny were carefully mapped out by God. He factored your strength and weakness which makes it possible to have ups and lows. He also considered external factors that could impact your journey like people conspiring against you, famine, natural disasters, economic downturn, political instability, etc. Whatever it would take for you to win has been thought of and destiny helpers assigned to help you through.
You’ve got to trust the process. Nobody, ever lived, understood how God worked in their lives. They only trusted that since God was on their side, it would be well. That was why Joseph said that “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” God led Joseph to the end. His life was amazing despites some 13years of turbulences. He trusted God. He trusted the process. This enabled him to stand firm in temptation and incarceration.
Don’t stress yourself trying to figure out how God works because you won’t. This is one fact about life. If God should reveal what would happen and how people you call family and friends would treat you, there are many things you wouldn’t do, and many people you wouldn’t talk to. However, those events and/or people’s treatments are meant to catapult you into your destiny…like Joseph.
Trusting the process also means Trusting God’s leadership. The scripture says in Proverbs 20:24 that The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?
You can take a lesson from a passenger airliner. When you get on board, you either worry or enjoy. That’s you either worry about how the pilot would handle turbulences or emergencies, or you enjoy the journey believing that the pilot and entire crew are experienced to do their best under any circumstances.
Conclusion:
There are many things you don’t understand now and there would be couple of others you probably won’t understand till you die. But one thing is certain; God wouldn’t permit more than you can carry. He has equipped you so much so that if your remain faithful and live righteously, you would always come out better. Always remember that the One who helped you to outrun millions of sperms to fertilize the egg still sits on the throne and He is helping to achieve His glorious plans. This is why I strongly believe that You’ll Win. God bless you.
