“Praise the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the wonderful promises he gave through his servant Moses. (1 Kings 8:56 NLT)
God, your Father in Heaven, can be trusted to keep his promises. Maybe you doubt this because you didn’t receive what prayed for in the past. Friend, God is right by all standards. His Word is truth. The problem isn’t with God but with us. We ask with wrong motives. That is sometimes we allow our feelings to override the will of God for our lives.
For instance Elijah was a great man of God. He prayed for rain to stop for three and half years. He prayed for rain to water the earth after those years. He prayed for fire. He killed all the prophets of Baal. He outran Ahab who was on a chariot. He brought the dead back to life. God used him to do so many miracles yet when Jezebel threatened to kill him, he ran away and prayed that God should take his life.
Couldn’t he have prayed for God to protect him? Couldn’t he have faced Jezebel?
He prayed for death because of Jezebel’s message. But God kept His promise. He didn’t grant Elijah’s request because his mission on earth wasn’t over.
God knows the best for you and He wouldn’t give you something that would destroy your life in the end.
God will do what he has said.
If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. (Psalms 91:9-11 NLT).
God is protecting you.
He is your shepherd. Jesus said And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? (Matthew 6:30 NLT).
God is caring for you
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. (Hebrews 10:23 NLT)
But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3 NLT)
God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. (1 Corinthians 1:9 NLT)
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. (Philippians 1:6 NLT)
Don’t be afraid of the storms of life you see because your Father is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He has engrave your name in the palm of His hand. He neither sleep nor slumber. He is watching over you. God is a covenant keeping God.
Do you know what God has promised concerning your life?
If no, then get to the Word. Study the Word and Pray so that the Holy Spirit will help you know and understand what God has for you in His Word.
