FAITH VERSUS FACT

FaithFor we live by believing and not by seeing. (2 Corinthians 5:7 NLT)

Someone once said Faith means believing in advance what will only make sense in reverse. In other words, Faith believes that what is impossible with man is possible with God. The truth is All things are possible with God therefore we must Believe that He is more than able to supply all our needs, and to bring to pass everything He has said in His Word concerning our lives.

We live by believing and not by seeing as Paul said in 2 Corinthians 5:7. Jesus added “DO NOT let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in  and  adhere to  and  trust in  and  rely on God; believe in  and  adhere to  and  trust in  and  rely also on Me.” (John 14:1 AMP)

ARE YOU LIVING BY FAITH OR WITH THE INFORMATION YOU HAVE ABOUT YOUR SITUATION?

Friend, your job is to believe in what God has said in His Word about you. His Word says you are prosperous, victorious, empowered, equipped, blessed, and healed. You are the head and not the tail. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you. No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper.

God has many words and promises concerning your life but it takes faith to see them come to pass in your life. Faith sees beyond what your eyes could see.

The words and promises of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times over. (Psalm 12:6 AMP)

The devil may present facts that are contrary to what God has said about your life. You may feel them in your body, hear them from experts, see them with your eyes, etc. Satan is one smart guy who knows the bait to get every individual. However, when you choose to live by believing that you are who God’s Word says you are, you don’t worry about your life because you know that “the Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord Keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. (Psalms 121:5-8 NLT).

Where fact says there is no way, Faith says there is a way. When fact believes it’s impossible, Faith believes it’s possible. When fact says you will die, Faith says you will live to tell what The Lord has done. When fact says quit, Faith encourages you to move forward. Friend, You need the shield of Faith to quench the fiery darts of the devil which include, but not limited to, the doctor’s report, news about the stock market, report about your business, church, balance of your bank account, your school certificate, negative thoughts, fear, worry, and anxiety.

You need faith to see beyond what an ordinary report or certificate can do for your life. Faith means believing in advance what will only make sense in reverse. Faith sees beyond what your eyes could see.

I don’t know the kind of information (facts) you have about your situation. It could be positive or negative. Whether positive or negative, I came to encourage you to walk in faith, and to Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5 NLT). He has power to supply all your needs through Jesus Christ. Don’t let what you see, hear, and feel discourage you but trust that God has something bigger and better for your life in Jesus’ Name. Amen

Is anything too hard for the LORD?

Is anything too hard for the LORD? My answer is NO. All things are possible with Him. I have come to realize that I don’t have to understand everything that is happening in my life. Instead what I have purposed to do is to trust that God, in His infinite Wisdom, will work things out for my good. His ways are above my ways, and His thoughts, above my thoughts.

The first question people ask when they face difficulties, or think about their future (education, job, family, friendship, relationship, etc.) is HOW WILL THIS BE? How am I going to get this job done? How am I going to stop this addiction? How am I going to change this child? How am I going to keep this marriage? How am I going to pay my fees? How am I going to pay my employees? Etc.

Abraham, Zachariah, Mary, and others asked this question when they were told about what would happen in their future. It is no surprising that people keep on asking this question day in and day out. As I have already stated, we don’t have to understand everything about this life. All we have got to do is to trust that God will work things out for our good. He is the Creator and knows the best for His children.

When Mary asked “How will this be since I am a virgin?” Gabriel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. FOR NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD.” Luke 1:34-37. Mary believed and said “May it be to me as you have said.” I pray we believe everything His Word says about us in Jesus’ Name. Amen

Again, when people asked Jesus, “Who then can be saved?” in Luke 18, He replied, “WHAT IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH MEN IS POSSIBLE WITH GOD.” Luke 18:26-27

And in Genesis 18:13, 14 “Then the LORD said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the LORD?”

Friends, we have not been to heaven to see what God can do but the testimonies from Gabriel, and Jesus should be enough evidences for us to believe that NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR THE LORD. Satan knows this so he tries to trick us to believe all his lies. Don’t believe his lies and trust that God can do all things in Jesus’ Name. God works with your Faith.

I don’t know what you may be going through today but what I do know is what you think, or have come to believe is impossible with you is possible with the Great I AM.  Your job is to believe in Him, and in His Power to perform whatever you need. Anything is possible if a person believes. Mark 9:23 NLT

The things God wouldn’t do for you are those you believe He can’t.

Put the devil to shame by answering this question; Is anything too hard for the LORD?

Let us do this exercise: Write all your needs on paper and mark those you believe God can do within the next 72 hours. We walk by FAITH, and not by sight. ONLY BELIEVE, give THANKS.

I will close with this;

Jeremiah 32:27 NLT

“I am the LORD, the God of all the people of the world. Is anything too hard for me?

YOUR FAITH

Jesus spoke about faith, and He walked by faith. Faith helps us to walk in the world of possibilities. I always tell folks that one word that can’t be found in God’s  dictionary is impossibility. All things are possible with God. In order to experience or walk in this world of possibilities, you need to put your Faith to work. Practice what you hear. Let’s not forget that faith without deeds is dead. When you hear the Word, and you don’t practice it, it is as though you have heard nothing.

Let’s consider this scenario;

A guy who had headache went to see the doctor. The doctor put him on some tablets. This guy took the medications as prescribed by the doctor and was healed. My question is;

who/what cured the guy’s headache?

Was it the doctor, the medication? himself?

I have asked many people and most of them believed it was the doctor.

Think about this for a minute;

What if the guy didn’t take those tablets?

What if he never followed what the doctor had said, do you think He could have been healed?

I believed he played a very important role in the recovery process.

Like this guy, most of us have problems or are in situations that we have been struggling to find the way out. We have spoken to the Doctor (God), who has given us the tablets (His Word) we need to be healed (get out of the situation). But we are either not following the directions given, or not taking the medication. God has made it our responsibility, that is to use our Faith to get what we want.

Think about these scriptures:

  • A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse. She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.” (Mark 5:25-28, 34 NLT)
  • Bartimaeus threw aside his coat, jumped up, and came to Jesus.  “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked. “My rabbi,” the blind man said, “I want to see!”  And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road. (Mark 10:50-52 NLT)
  • But she came and worshiped him, pleading again, “Lord, help me!”  Jesus responded, “It isn’t right to take food from the children and throw it to the dogs.”  She replied, “That’s true, Lord, but even dogs are allowed to eat the scraps that fall beneath their masters’ table.”  “Dear woman,” Jesus said to her, “your faith is great. Your request is granted.” And her daughter was instantly healed. (Matthew 15:25-28 NLT)

These people got their miracles because of their Faith. Have you ever thought of what your faith could do? Start practicing the word.

Jesus said “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.” (Matthew 7:24-27 NLT).

Practicing the word will help you stand in times of trouble.

Alright! This is what I want to talk about today. God works with your faith. It’s your Faith that will open the windows of Heaven. We walk by Faith, we live by Faith. The truth is without it, it will be impossible to please God. The good news is we don’t need any bigger faith to get our prayers answered. All we need is that of the size of a mustard seed. “If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘May you be uprooted and thrown into the sea,’ and it would obey you! (Luke 17:6 NLT).

Every individual has got a mountain or mulberry tree to move. Some easily get the work done because of the knowledge they have had in the Word. Others are struggling. I don’t know which group you belong but what I can say is your Faith can produce the result you need. Exercise your faith.

I will close with this:

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4
