Shun The Enemy’s Table

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

(1 Peter 5:8, NLT)

What business has this Impala got to do at the Leopard’s dining table? It’s instinct should signal danger at the sight of a leopard, and it must run as fast as possible if it wants to live. They are not friends and would never be: One sees food and relies on it for survival. The other sees danger and flees for survival.

Your enemy will invite you to table, offering you things that appear to be good for the body but he has one thing in mind; your eternal destruction. Everything he’s got to offer is evil. He is deceitful and masters in keeping his preys in the dark. His invitation is the every day temptations you face. And he starts with one.

Often we feel sorry for animals who see their predators and slack around. We feel sorry for them because we know they would be killed. Yet when we see danger appealing to our eyes, we blindly follow. We follow the enemy to his table hoping to receive something better in the end. Joseph and Daniel had opportunity to feast at the enemy’s table but they shunned. They resisted the pleasure to gain the treasure.

What invitation(s) are you receiving from the enemy? Is it to gossip? or sexual immorality? or cheat? or take revenge? etc. Could it be impatient? whatever it is, know that the enemy’s goal is to destroy your relationship with God so that he can devour you.

Always see yourself as that Impala and flee when you see danger. It will be good for your soul, spirit and body, and you will continue to live a life that is pleasing to God.

Good And Perfect Gifts

Everything good comes from God. Every perfect gift is from him. These good gifts come down from the Father who made all the lights in the sky. But God never changes like the shadows from those lights. He is always the same.

(James 1:17, ERV)

God loves us so much that He gives us good things and perfect gifts. He understands Fatherhood and thus desire in the prosperity of His children. Think about this; He gave us Jesus Christ, His perfect and spotless Sacrifice to bridge the gap sin created in Eden. The Bible also says that everything was made with Jesus. Therefore giving Jesus Christ was a big deal for God. Yet He did to show His unfailing love. He also gave us His Holy Spirit. The Spirit Who searches the deep things of God. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we can operate efficiently and achieve the purpose God set for us before conception.

Jesus Christ represents God’s Love, Righteousness, Salvation, Peace, Prosperity, etc for Mankind. He did this with you in mind. Jesus Christ is God’s very BEST for you. If you have Jesus, you are entitled to anything you could ever imagined because If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? (Romans 8:32, MSG).
Think of it this way; God gave Himself in the exchange for your Life and He is saying that “See I have given up Myself, My All, to get you back to myself. Nothing can be compared to Myself so If I can do that for you, what else would be difficult for Me?
Finally, the Holy Spirit is the Seal to Authenticate what God has done and promised.

Friend, accepting Jesus Christ was, is, and will forever be the BEST decision you made. Sometimes your needs may not be met at your scheduled time which might cause some uneasiness. Consider this: A thirteen year old child may learn how to drive but he/she would have to wait to that time as permitted by national law to drive. That child might feel he/she is ready to own a car but a loving parent would encourage him/her to wait. As a parent, you would care more about his/her safety than the car.
The issue isn’t your ability to buy the desired car but you want to do so at a time that is safe and convenient for the child. In the same way, your Life (Body, Soul, and Spirit) is more important to God than your wants. If He gives it too early, it could destroy you. If He delays on the other hand, impatient could lead you astray. So He is always on the Spot.
God is just and He wants everything to function at their set time. And just as national laws wouldn’t show partiality in age limits, God understands that better. At the set time, your requests shall be granted.

Everything good from God. Every perfect gift comes from Him. Your healing, marriage, provision, protection, etc come from Him. He isn’t out of time to perform what you have asked for. He wouldn’t be in time because you are in a hurry. But He will deliver, perform, orchestrate, and perfect your request on Time. God’s greatest gifts (Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirt) were given at the appointed time therefore do relax and don’t rush the process. God bless you!
