Hope Alive

Permit me to encourage you as 2020 wraps up. With just two weeks to go, it tempting to pull out your nets and call it a day. Evidence may prove that it’s over. I understand but Miracles do happen. And ONE miracle I can boldly point to is YOU. Yeah! You.

You are a Miracle. Despite the virus, collapse of companies, accidents, etc you are alive today. Millions of people have died but you are alive. Don’t take that for granted. God has kept you because you have unfinished business on earth and each task you accomplish will bring Him glory.

I am always encouraged by Tiki Gelana‘s attitude at the London Olympics 2012. She fell down during the race (marathon) and thought for the moment that she wasn’t going to finish the race but she got up and kept running. In the end, she won the race with new Olympics record. She didn’t lose Hope. It didn’t matter how many athletes got ahead while she was down. She got up, believed it was possible to win, and she won.

Sometimes what is meant to be a setback is the only motivation you need to succeed and be a record breaker. Countless number of successful people experienced year(s) of setback but when they share their stories today, they point to those years as the game changing moments.

Keep your hope alive. Apostle Paul said “That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.” (2 Corinthians 4:16, NLT). Also remember that “Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” (Romans 4:18, NIV). Abraham had one thing in his heart; that God is able to do what He has said. Do you (still) believe that God is able to do what He said to you? If Yes, then don’t lose Hope because without Hope, there would be no foundation for your Faith to operate. God bless you.
