Re-Post: JESUS SAVES

I heard a story about two people; a Christian and an unbeliever (bearded man) who were travelling by air. It was six-hour journey so the Christian took the opportunity to share the message about God’s Kingdom. This guy tried to talk about how Jesus is protecting God’s children 24/7 But the bearded man didn’t believe so he asked if he (the Christian) could keep his mouth shut.

After about 45 minutes, the pilot announced that he had lost control of the plane and that it could crash any moment. When the Christian heard the news, he cried out loud; “JESUS SAVE ME!” Immediately, he disappeared from the plane. Fascinated by what he has heard and seen, the unbeliever opened his mouth in attempt to repeat what was said but “JESUS SHAVE ME!” came out. Immediately, his beard disappeared. The plane crashed and he died.

  • Lesson:
    • Jesus protects God’s children 24/7.
    • The scripture says For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13, KJV)
    • In times of trouble call on Jesus and He will save you.

God bless you

Don’t Lose Heart, Blessings on the Way

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we reap a harvest of blessings if we don’t give up. (Galatians 6:9, NLT)

In 2011, one of my workers came to my house to talk about his family issues. After hearing his story there was nothing I could do than to grant him the (loan) request to pay his son’s school fees. He promised to return the money before the month ends. The month ended, the year ended, 2012, 2013 up-to now, the money is unpaid. He had different reason(s) any time we talked about it so I finally decided to classify as bad debt. I was helping a brother in need but I ended up losing.

In 2012, several other people came for help, promising to pay back but they never did. The story has been same year on year.

Someone asked why I’ve not learnt lesson(s) from the past? Or why I still open up to people when they need help?

I told him what Paul said that “Let’s not get tired of doing what is good…”.

  • Your Responsibility:

As a child of God, your job is to be your brother’s keeper. Proverbs 3:27-28 says “Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them. If you can help your neighbor now, don’t say, “Come back tomorrow, and then I’ll help you.”

“Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes, you are his body. Christ has no body now on earth but yours.”

― Teresa of Avila

  • The Reality; Blessed to be Blessing

Your good intentions may not be reciprocated as some people will pay you evil for good. But that shouldn’t prevent you from extending helping hands to others in need. Always remember that God has blessed you to be a blessing. I’ve had many experiences but they haven’t discouraged me yet. The truth is it’s just can’t stop me because as long as God blesses me, I chose to remain a blessing.

Don’t let some selfish people keep you from receiving God’s best. Here is the thing: Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. The Generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. (Proverbs 11:24-25, NLT)

Be encouraged not to give up because more blessings will come your way as you give people reason(s) to thank God for His faithfulness.

  • Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing, but those who closed their eyes to poverty will be cursed. (Proverbs 28:27, NLT)
  • So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we reap a harvest of blessings if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9, NLT
  • God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. (Matthew 5:7, NLT)

Marked for Exploits

…the people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand firm and do exploits [for God].” (Daniel 11:32, AMPC)

You’re born to Soar

You are not here by accident” is a popular preachers’ line that emphasis how God purposefully created you. Whichever country you find yourself today, God has you there for some specific assignment(s). And once you move with God side by side, you shall remain strong and shall stand firm and do exploits for Him.

  • Love What You Do:

The Bible says “it is appointed unto men once to die” (Hebrews 9:27, KJV) and your days on earth before such appointment, according to Psalm 103:15, “like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die.”

This is our common destination and the motivation to love what we do. You don’t have enough time, so do I. Every day you wasted being unfruitful goes against you thus be mindful of things that steal your time, energy, and other resources. Also find joy in task(s) you do, regardless of how small it might be and who it might be for. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol (the place of the dead), where you are going. (Ecclesiastes 9:10, AMPC)

The end of everything you do shall be well because God is your strength and He has marked you for exploits. As you journey through this year, move with this awareness that whatever you find yourself doing, the end will glorify God. With that in mind, you will pay careful attention to details and strive for perfection. Your God will reward your efforts and cause the least you’ve done to be magnificent in the eyes of men. God bless you and make you a blessing.

Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, (Colosians 3:23, AMP)
