Today’s prosperity messages have led many people to the Broad way that leads to destruction. Gone are the days when people weep and turn away from their old sinful lives when they hear the Word from the pulpit. Poverty is now referred to as the Old Life whereas riches and power are termed as the New Life.
What happened to the messages about Purity, Holiness, Sanctification, Repentance, Prayer, Fasting, Forgiveness, etc? Jesus is coming again and what account are we going to give if we shun the message of the Cross?
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (Matthew 7:13-15 KJV)
