My Little Story: Happy Birthday to Me

birthdayThis is the Lord‘s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. (Psalms 118:23, KJV)

Today is my birthday. Hurray! I am very happy and grateful to the Lord Almighty for everything He has done in my life.

When I was a little boy, all I knew was how to recite the scriptures. But when I started growing, I realised that the Word of God is light that directs my path. My Life is a product of His Word.

Today I want to testify that I am what I am and Who I am because of His Word. And I want to encourage you study the Word of God. Get time to listen to Him. Often God wants to talk to us but we are too busy to listen.

I will share with you 28 scriptures (KJV), out of the many, that transformed my life:

  1. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you. (Joshua 1:3)
  2. There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. (Joshua 1:5)
  3. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (Joshua 1:8)
  4. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and he hath set the world upon them. He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail. (1 Samuel 2:8-9)
  5. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Psalms 23:1)
  6. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalms 27:1)
  7. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. (Psalms 27:14)
  8. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. (Psalms 30:5)
  9. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. (Psalm 37:5)
  10. The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. (Psalms 37:18-19)
  11. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. (Psalms 37:25)
  12. Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. (Psalms 50:14-15)
  13. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalms 91:1)
  14. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. (Psalms 91:7)
  15. This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity. (Psalms 118:24-25)
  16. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. (Psalms 1:1-2)
  17. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
  18. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. (Proverbs 4:23)
  19. Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man. (Proverbs 6:10-11)

  23. When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. (Isaiah 41:17-18)
  24. Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. (Isaiah 43:18-19)
  25. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. (Malachi 3:10)
  26. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. (Mark 11:23-26)
  27. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. (Colossians 3:16-17)
  28. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. (Revelation 22:12)

God bless you richly and be assured that THE BEST IS YET TO COME

Are You Eagerly Waiting for Jesus?

Waiting at airportHe will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. (Hebrews 9:28, NLT)

We live in societies where it is becoming difficult to distinguish between the good and the bad. It is easy for people to lie, cheat, insult, steal, commit sexual immorality, gossip in the 21 first century and not feel bad at all. People justify the wrong things they do with scriptures. I remember what an accounting lecturer told us in class that “There are 99 ways to hell but 1 way to Heaven”. Jesus put it this way “wide is the gate and spacious and broad is the way that leads away to destruction, and many are those who are entering through it.” (Matthew 7:13, AMP).

People can continue justifying their wrong doings but the truth is wrong is wrong even when everyone is doing it, and right is right even when nobody is doing it. One thing such people forget is that LIFE is a gift of trust. One day The Owner will come and each person will held accountable for what he/she does with his/her life.

God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad. (Ecclesiastes 12:14 NLT)

Jesus is coming at an hour you least expected. The scriptures say He is coming like a thief at night therefore keep watching so that He does not come to meet you unprepared. Its quite surprising that the focus of the church is shifting to how to live prosperous in a world that is reserved for fire. Less or no emphasis is placed on our readiness for the second coming of Jesus Christ but what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?

Understand this: If a homeowner knew exactly when a burglar was coming, he would not permit his house to be broken into. You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.” (Luke 12:39-40, NLT)

When you are eagerly waiting for christ, it means that you are very excited and interest (feeling strong and impatient desire) to remain in a state in which you expect or hope that Jesus Christ second coming will happen soon. In effect, you must be ready like a traveller (with his luggage) at the airport who is waiting for announcement to board his flight. Do not comform yourself to the customs of this world; others may sin but you cannot, others may gossip but you cannot, others may cheat but you cannot, others may lay for themselves treasures on this world but you cannot.

Friend Heaven is your home and Jesus is preparing your room for you. Do you not think that it will be disappointing that after He has prepared a place for you, he comes to see you unprepared? Let us therefore strip off everything that will prevent us from spending eternity with Jesus. JESUS IS COMING SOON.

Are you eagerly waiting for Him? If your answer is No or Maybe, then Repent from anything that is holding you back. Say this prayer

Lord Jesus, please forgive me for every wrong thing that i have committed. Jesus, You are the Son of God, and I believe that God raised you from the dead. Thank you for saving me today and giving me Grace to wait for your second coming. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

God bless you!

Say No to the Past

I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. (Philippians 3:13, NLT)

So often, we focus on what we have done; our past successes, challenges, mistakes, relationships, etc. The past is good because you are where you are today because of the way you programmed yourself in the past. Although your past has a connection to the future, you don’t have to focus on the past. The past retards growth. When you rely on your past achievements, they prevent you from moving forward. Yesterday’s achievements belong to history. Holding onto the past mistakes, sins, hurts, relationships, memories, etc consumes the strength you could have used to plan for the future.

Your past is an enemy that can prevent you from moving forward. Be encouraged today to Say NO to the PAST.

Have you created comfort zone beyond which you don’t want to take any risk?

Apostle Paul said that “I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” (Philippians 3:14, NLT). Paul was determined to move beyond boundaries to reach the end of the race where he would be rewarded. He forgot about his past achievements and challenges and was focused on what was ahead. You do not have to stay at a point, always refreshing yourself with past memories.Press on because your best days are ahead of you.

Have you considered why you take a step forward when you have a destination to reach despite the fact that you stumble or fall? This should be an encouragement that no matter what happens in your life, you have to move forward because your best days (or destination) are ahead of you.

Friend prepare yourself for something better because nothing you have done in the past can be compared to what God has prepared for your future. Spend time getting materials that will make you prepare you for the future. Do not waste time repairing what went wrong in your past. Repairing wastes time and energy, and it pulls you from moving forward. Whatever happened in the past belongs to the past. You cannot do anything about it. The most important thing is to pray and ask God for His divine guidance, which would enable you make appropriate decisions toward the future.

Think about this for a moment; Great men we see today don’t stop at their first success or breakthrough. They always push forward. Even software has an update which erases its past. How much more you, a child of the Most High?

Can we do these little exercises?

If someone hurt you in the past, forgive and let it go. Go to that brother or sister and live together again.

If something went wrong in your life, stop blaming yourself. Whatever it is that happened did happen. Nothing can be done to restore that. Just PUSH FORWARD.

If you caused someone pains, or destroyed something that was so dear to him/her, it is time to live again. Let the guilt go. The Bible says Resist the devil and he will flee. Resist whatever had held you for years, and it will flee.

If a friend left you, quit worrying and sobbing about that. Today is a new day. God has aligned right people in your future.

If you won a golden cup yesterday, do not let it dominate your life because your best is yet to come.

Anytime thoughts about the past life come to worry or destroy your happiness, tune in to something new. Let me tell you what you should think about; “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable” (Philippians 4:8).

IT IS WELL
