IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO BELIEVE

November starts tomorrow. How are you preparing to receive the best from The Lord? As we get ready to see the new month, I want you to know that God is able to do what has been difficult for you in this month. When Elisha told the widow to borrow many empty vessels, She didn’t wait to see the oil flowing before she believed. She believed before the miracle took place. Hallelujah! It’s not too late to believe. God doesn’t need 24hours, 60 minutes, or 60 seconds, to perform the miracle you seek. He needs your Faith. I believe God can change your situation before midnight in Jesus’ Name.

Only believe.

Believe that God is going to do something great in your life.

I want to encourage you to do all you can today, and God will handle those you can’t.

Prayer:
Thank you Father for all you have done for us in October. We trust that before tomorrow, we will all see your goodness in Jesus’ Name. I pray you heal the sick, comfort the broken hearted, feed the hunger, promote your children, strengthen the weak, shelter the homeless, cloth the naked, and Lift us up to where we belong. I pray for increase in the lives of your children before the month ends in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God bless you

LIFE BEHIND CLOSED DOORS

20121030-083012.jpg

You know when I am resting or when I am working, and from heaven you discover my thoughts. You notice everything I do and everywhere I go. Before I even speak a word, you know what I will say, (PSALMS 139:2-4 CEV)

I want to talk about life behind closed door. Everybody has got a secret. There are some things you do when nobody is watching. There are sins that easily ensnare you. It could be lying, stealing, fornicating, adultery, jealousy, gossiping, bribery, etc. The desire to sin propels us to shut doors, close windows, move to secret places but we forget that the Spirit of God is everywhere.

Psalm 139 points out that God knows every thought, word and deed, from whom there is no hiding place. He knows us inside out. Your neighbour might not see what you do, or know you evil intentions against him but God knows. God perceives your thoughts from afar. A song writter said “you may cover your sins that no one else would know but you cannot hide it from God.

God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:14 NIV84).

As a pastor, you may cover your deeds that no one else will know but you cannot hide it from God.

As a husband, you may cover your deeds that your wife would not know but you cannot hide it from God. The same applies to the wife who is unfaithful.

As a president, minister of state, doctor, manager, pilot, agent of the secret services, drug baron, etc. you may cover your deeds that no one else will know but you cannot hide it from God.

As a chorister, writer, instrumentalist, usher, church accountant, driver, member of a church, you may cover your deeds that no one else would know But you cannot hide it from God. God will bring every deed to judgement. He is God of justice.

Where could I go to escape from your Spirit or from your sight? If I were to climb up to the highest heavens, you would be there.
If I were to dig down to the world of the dead you would also be there. Suppose I had wings like the dawning day and flew across the ocean. Even then your powerful arm would guide and protect me. Or suppose I said, “I’ll hide in the dark until night comes to cover me over.” But you see in the dark because daylight and dark are all the same to you. You are the one
who put me together inside my mother’s body,”

(PSALMS 139:7-13 CEV)

I will close with this; when you are tempted to close doors, windows, turn lights off, or sit in car to sin, remember God is watching. When you pick up phone or go on the Internet to lie, remember that God is watching from afar. You cannot hide your deeds from God. Live a holy life. Jesus is coming soon.
God bless you

WHEN A LOVED ONE LEAVES

At this point many of his disciples turned away and deserted him. Then Jesus turned to the Twelve and asked, “Are you also going to leave?” (John 6:66, 67 NLT)

In this life you cannot please everybody. Some people are meant to stay while others come but for a moment. Sometimes it hurts to see a loved one go. That is when the person you love, care for, trust, eat with, sleep with, suddenly decides to leave. It hurts but the good news is Jesus suffered the same. Our High Priest knows how to take us through such times. Don’t forget the saying that a servant is not greater than his master. Many disciples turned away and deserted him because they did not understand what he said. I believe Jesus felt the pains but there was nothing he could do as God has given man the freedom to choose. Jesus could have called them and tried to work things out but he turned to do otherwise. He asked the twelve “Are you also going to leave?” Jesus chose to stand for God instead of man. He needed God’s approval. When someone threatens to leave, consider your relationship with God first before any other thing.

I met a young lady who was worried because someone she loved left the relationship she thought could lead to marriage. I told her to quit worrying because God knows the future. He knows that their relationship will amount to nothing so he allowed the guy to leave.

Some believers have left the church for no reason. They left because the minister said something they were not comfortable with. Consequently, most ministers are afraid to tell the truth. They prefer to have the quantity instead of the quality. In John 6, many disciples left because they did not believe what he said. Ministers must not consider the quantity but they should look out for the quality.

When a person turns away and deserts you, focus on Jesus and move forward. Jesus did not go back begging them to return. He maintained his integrity. I wonder how many believers would stand for the truth when they know it would cost them their relationships with those they love?

I will conclude with this:
When those you love turn away, don’t waste your time sobbing. Instead turn your eyes to Jesus. God promised never to leave us nor forsake us. Be encouraged that one with God is a majority. God bless you.
