DON’T FOLLOW THE MULTITUDE

Most (about 90%) of us are worried about the future. They are talking the wrong talks. They have conformed themselves to the world (which has nothing good to offer). So if the world (which has nothing good to offer) is suffering, they are suffering. If the economy is going down, they are going down with it. Romans 12:2 encourages us (as children of God, followers of Jesus Christ) to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We are God’s people. We belong to Zion. All things are possible with God.

GOD IS YOUR FATHER

Have you seen a son of a president begging for job, food, cloth, accommodation, etc? Or worrying because he will be unemployed, hungry, naked, etc? O FAITHLESS GENERATION! Although the unemployment rate may be high, there may be famine, etc., they don’t affect him as the president’ son. Jesus said in Matthew 6: 25 that “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or drink; or about your body, what you will wear” The Creator of the universe is your Father. You are the son or daughter of the I AM. He knows what you need before you ask Him. The good news is He owns all things. If God is your Father, Jesus is your High Priest and the Holy Spirit is on the inside of you,Everything you would ever need in life has been made available. The Lord is your shepherd, you shall not want in life. Psalms 23.

FACE THE FUTURE WITH HOPE

Let us face the future with hope and a believing heart because the Light (JESUS) of the world has not been extinguished and cannot be extinguished.

Because He lives, we know that the future is bright. What you focus on magnifies. If you focus on your problems, they will magnify. I will advise you focus on Jesus; He is the Light that shines before us. Though the path ahead may be dark, He will shine before us. Hebrews 8:13 says Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Paul said in Romans 8:31-32 that if God be for us, who can be against us? He (GOD) who didn’t spare His own son (JESUS), but gave Him (JESUS) up for us – how will He not also, alongside with Him (JESUS) graciously give us all things? It’s high time we stopped worrying about the future because God has already made the necessary provisions for us. Let us pray each day, asking the Lord to show us the way, the right way or path to succeed. Faithful is He who has called us. He will do it.

 OUR ADVERSARY

Satan wants to hinder us from enjoying God’s best for our lives. The next time he shows up in your life, trying to make you feel like you don’t qualify for God’s grace. To make you feel like you don’t qualify for a job, you don’t deserve that promotion. You won’t have a bright future. That sickness is going to kill you. Your friends are better than you, they are talented but you are not. You are poor, you can’t make it, etc., just tell him this “Satan, Jesus defeated you years ago. I belong to Jesus. You have no power over me. If Jesus hadn’t resurrected, the story would have been different. But Jesus rose from the dead. He has given me power over you. I am the bona fide property of The Most High God. No Weapon forged against me will prosper. Every tongue that rises against me is condemned. I am equipped with possibilities. And because He lives, I can do all things. I am talented. I am healed. I can get that job, that promotion. I am not poor because He was made poor so I can be rich. No man can curse me. I am the greatest person the world ever saw.” As you make such declaration, Satan will be paralyzed. He won’t have power over you. Just as the pilot controls the plane, Satan wants to control your life. Resist the devil and he shall flee you. If he comes through a person to talk you down, resist such person. It could be your spouse, friend, brother, sister, pastor, mother, father, etc.  

BEST DAYS AHEAD

The life we live today is better than yesterday’s. And because He lives, the BEST Life is ahead of us. Quit worrying about those things you couldn’t do in the past life. The present is what you have. Make the right choices today to enjoy a better life tomorrow. Our life is not a mournful vigil over our sinful past and present. No, life is a hope – filled journey into God’s intended future. And Because He lives, we know that “death is no longer what defines life, but rather life (has become) what defines death.”

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow Because He lives, all fear is gone Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living, just because He lives

Hedge of Protection

Our number one adversary, as people of God, is Satan. He is to Steal, Kill and Destroy. He wants to destroy us with poverty, sickness, unemployment, broken heart, fear, etc. He has power, together with his angels but he can’t touch us as God’s children. Satan doesn’t have a free hand toward God’s people. He must operate within certain limit set by God.

In Job 1:9 Satan said “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? This reveals that God has put a hedge around us. And the good news is that God’s hedge of protection is around us, our household, and everything we have. If we are not careful, we will go through life in fear, instead of faith. You are not alone.

It would be nice to think that God builds a hedge of protection around everyone, but the truth is He is looking for people who have surrendered their lives to Him to become His servants.

Do you want to have a divine hedge in your life? Then your goal should be to become a servant of God through Jesus Christ.

It is true that strange things are happening: accidents, strange diseases, stress, earthquakes, tsunami, typhoon, hurricane, terrorism, etc. but let us say what David said that “even though I walk through the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.” Have in mind that the Creator of the universe is watching over you. You are under the shadow of the Almighty. He is your refuge and your fortress.

There is an invisible hedge around you, your household, and everything you have that can’t be broken without God’s permission. The Hebrew word for hedge really means “WALL”. It is an invisible wall which can’t be seen physically. Job couldn’t see the hedge, but Satan could. There are so many things in the spiritual world that are invisible to our eyes, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. Satan can’t attack you as God’s child without your Father’s permission. From the scripture, Satan only chance of getting to Job was to go to God and try to get the hedge readjusted, so that something pertaining to Job would be within his reach. Know this that nothing within this hedge is vulnerable to Satan’s attack.

You are the apple of God’s eye. Whoever touches you touches your maker. Jesus said in John 14:19 that “Because I live, you also will live.” In verse 20, He said “On that day you will realize that I am in my Father and you are in me, and I am in you.” That means you are in Jesus, Jesus in God, and Jesus is in you. Before Satan can touch you, he must attack God, then through Jesus.

Today be encouraged that you are not ordinary. You are the greatest person the world ever saw. God’s eyes are on you. He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. No evil shall befall you, and no disaster will come near your tent.

The Lord is watching over you – the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep your from all harm – He will watch over your life. The Lord will watch over your coming in and going both now and forevermore.

What’s Your Excuse?

We are living in the last days. Yeah! If it were a football game, I would refer to our days as the “stoppage time”. Anytime soon, the whistle will blow. The question I ask myself anytime I think about Christ’s return is “what excuse can I give should I miss the rapture?”

Today, I will ask you the same question; maybe we can reason together and come out with an answer. What will be your excuse on the last day, should you miss the rapture?

Friends, let us stop looking at ourselves. If we look at ourselves, we will evaluate ourselves by ourselves. All of us came in this Kingdom with deficiencies; Sarah and Abraham were impatient. Gideon had inferiority complex. Moses staggered. Sampson married the wrong woman. Thomas was a doubter. Paul was a murderer. Elijah was moody. Jeremiah cried all the time. David was a murderer and adulterer. Timothy was timid. Peter denied Jesus three times. And if you look at me, I was an angry man, a liar, cheater, racist, inferiority complex, pretender, etc. But look at what God has done. He changed me and made me His own.

I don’t know about you, maybe you are a fornicator, thief, pretender, doubter, cheater, drunkard, womanizer, drug addict, gossiper, liar, etc. I don’t know the label you have placed on yourself. But I do know that God sees you as a different person. He sees you as His child and doesn’t want you to spend eternity in Hell. He wants to change you today, I mean NOW. ARE YOU READY?

No man can stand the wrath of God. Make the right choice today. What excuse do you have today? No matter the depth of your sins in the past, even now, Jesus is calling you; He is knocking at the door of your heart. He is saying your sin is no problem. All you need to do is to come to Him. He is the potter. He can re-mould you and make you anew.

If you shun this so great salvation, WHAT EXCUSE CAN YOU GIVE ON THE LAST DAY, SHOULD YOU MISS THE RAPTURE? There will be NO SECOND CHANCE.
