My Little Story:The Lord is Your Strength

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13, NLT)

lordismystrength_nivI thank God for keeping us safe from January to December. Although December has just begun, we can see through our eyes of Faith that God has sailed us through safely. I welcome you to this great month and it is my prayer that God strengthens  you in everything you do.

I want to share a story that will inspire you to get over your limitations. Limitations are mental pictures/images the enemy put across to keep us away from reaching our full potentials. The good news is that Jesus has given us strength and power to move beyond these imaginary barriers.

The Story:

A good friend sent me whatsapp message after 10pm last month (I didn’t keep the date) that she couldn’t sleep. I thought she had insomnia but she told me that her little niece was the problem. “she can’t sleep and am worried” she said. I told her, like I would say to anyone, that sing for her. It is believed that lullabies send babies to sleep so this has been my suggestion for friends. Unfortunately, My friend told me that she can’t sing. I was puzzled because I thought she could sing better. she told me that “I have a bad voice that would rather keep her awake all night” But my words to her were firm and straight as I replied “Just sing”. About 15 minutes later, she sent a message that “it worked and she is gone”. I was happy to hear that and I wanted to find out who told her that she has a bad voice. she replied that nobody did. she felt that she hasn’t got a good voice. She thought about it and it gained roots on her mind. The enemy had programmed her mind that she can’t sing because she hasn’t got a good voice.

Lesson:

I wonder how many of God’s children that have allowed Satan to program their mind into believing that they are not good enough? The enemy could use a word from your mentor, pastor, parents, friends, etc to make you feel inferior; to make you believe that you don’t have the strength to achieve a given task; to make you believe that you do not qualify; to make you settle for good enough. However that scripture says that God has given us strength for the battle. He has placed in you all that you need to be successful and to live a fulfilled life. He has placed that seed of greatness in you. My friend believed that she couldn’t sing and that her voice would keep her niece awake all night yet when she sang with the same voice, her niece slept.

We don’t have the right to claim that we have done anything on our own. God gives us what it takes to do all that we do. (2 Corinthians 3:5, CEV)
God has given you what it takes to do everything you purpose to do. He is your strength. Don’t let a word from men prevent from reaching your goal. Determine that as you have started, you have all the strength and support you need to finish. Leave the “how” to God for He knows what to do to get you to the finish line.
I don’t know what has kept you away from reaching the goals you set for your life in 2015. Eleven months have passed but you have a month to break every barrier to achieve all set goals. It is not too late.
Remember that You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. And God has given you what it takes to achieve your goals. Your limitations are not real. Satan is a liar therefore resist him, and he shall flee in Jesus’ Name. Amen

Everything is under your feet

You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet Psalm 8:6 AMP

Hello everyone,

Welcome to the second half of 2013. I believe everything God has said about your life this year will come to pass in Jesus’ Name. It’s a new month and a new beginning. As a result, l want to encourage you to forget about what is behind and press forward to what lies ahead.

God is with you

I want us to talk about Psalm 8:6 today. It is among the important topics in the body of Christ but believers don’t pay much attention to that. It’s no surprise that some people run or scream at the sight of mouse or cockroach. We run when we see dogs, not to talk about snakes, or other wild beasts. We cry when we face little challenges or face opposition. We blame God sometimes for what happen(s) to us and some have wandered away from the faith because they felt God could have done something about their situations which He didn’t. Man no longer has dominion over some of the works of God’s hands because of fear and doubt. You may not believe this but last three years I ran away from some dogs. They were unfriendly… The question I asked myself was “why did I run away from mere dogs, animals God has given me dominion over?”

For You have put everything in subjection under his feet. Now in putting everything in subjection to man, He left nothing outside [of man’s] control. (Hebrews 2:8, AMP)

God has put everything under your feet. The scripture says He left nothing outside your control. This means that your enemies are under your feet. You have power to control every situation that you will encounter. You have dominion over all sicknesses and diseases. You have power over “all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.” (Psalm 8:7,8). Everything is under your feet in Jesus’ Name.

Friend God created you in His image, in His likeness, so that you may rule over everything.

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” (Genesis 1:26, NIV)

As we start the second half of the year, I pray you exercise your authority as man over everything. Know that God didn’t create you to be average. He created you to do extraordinary things on earth. Your limitations are not real so press forward.

All things are under your feet.

YOUR LIMITATIONS ARE UNREAL 2

Romans 12: 2 says Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” A person is not different from his dominant thoughts. That is why it is very important to renew the mind daily with God’s Word. Human beings are filled with infinite potentials. God created us in His image. The scripture talks about how man was able to use his gifts to build a tower that made God came down to see what he was doing. I believe every man can do what he sets his mind to do. However, Satan doesn’t want that to happen. Therefore, he paints pictures on our minds, and makes them look so real that when we look around us, we tend to believe those lies.

Friends, my message today is Your limitations are unreal. Everything you see as an obstacle is not real so move on, and don’t quit.

When Moses and God’s children came to the red sea, God told them to go forward. The sea was a limitation. Again, when Joshua got to Jordan, God told him to move forward. Jordan River was a limitation. The Wall of Jericho was another limitation. Let us talk about David and Goliath, Elijah and Four hundred prophets of Baal, Elijah and Elisha before Jordan River. Daniel knew he could be thrown into the Lion’s den. The den was a limitation. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and the fiery furnace; it was a limitation. These people saw what looked real before them but when they stood in faith, and believed in their God, they found out later that those limitations were unreal. They moved forward, and nothing could stop them. What do you think is your limitation? God has placed in you all you would need to be what He created you to be. Everything you would need is within reach.

Today let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. If you think you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, you can. On the other hand, If you think you can’t because satan says so, you can’t.

Don’t give up because of the pressure. Each one of us has got his/her life to live. By the way don’t forget God created us differently but in His image. Both Moses and Joshua came before water but God did something different in each case. He is God. Don’t make mistake by comparing yourself with people. Don’t say because they use path A, you must also use path A. When you do that you would be faced with so many limitations, and you may start believing satan’s lies. I have faced so many limitations in life but when I got to them, I realised they were not real.

Be encouraged that you can achieve what you have set your mind to achieve because Christ is your strength.

God bless you
