HIGHER GROUND

I believe this hymn will bless your life today. Sing it out loud if you can.
God bless us.

I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining every day;
Still praying as I onward bound,
“Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”

Lord, lift me up, and let me stand
By faith on Heaven’s table land;
A higher plane than I have found,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where these abound,
My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.

I want to live above the world,
Though Satan’s darts at me are hurled;
For faith has caught the joyful sound,
The song of saints on higher ground.

I want to scale the utmost height
And catch a gleam of glory bright;
But still I’ll pray till rest I’ve found,
“Lord, lead me on to higher ground.”

HEAVENLY RATES

A MAN DIES AND GOES TO HEAVEN. OF COURSE, ST. PETER MEETS HIM AT THE PEARLY GATES.

ST. PETER SAYS, “HERE’S HOW IT WORKS. YOU NEED 100 POINTS TO MAKE IT INTO HEAVEN. YOU TELL ME ALL THE GOOD THINGS YOU’VE DONE, AND I GIVE YOU CERTAIN NUMBER OF POINTS FOR EACH ITEM, DEPENDING ON HOW GOOD IT WAS. WHEN YOU GET 100 POINTS, YOU GET IN.”

“OKAY” THE MAN SAYS, “I WAS MARRIED TO THE SAME WOMAN FOR 50 YEARS AND NEVER CHEATED ON HER.

“THAT’S WONDERFUL,” SAYS PETER, “THAT’S WORTH 3 POINTS!”

“3 POINTS?” HE SAYS. “WELL, I ATTENDED CHURCH ALL MY LIFE AND SUPPORTED ITS MINISTRY WITH MY TITHE AND SERVICE.” “TERRIFIC!” SAYS PETER, “THAT’S CERTAINLY WORTH 2 POINTS.”

“2 POINTS? JOLLY. “I FED THE POOR ALWAYS” CONTINUE THE MAN.

“THAT WAS GOOD” RETORTED PETER, “3 POINTS.”

OK, HOW ABOUT THIS: “I WON COUNTLESS OF SOULS FOR CHRIST AND HELPED ESTABLISHED THEM IN THE CHURCH”

“FANTASTIC, YOU SHOULD HAVE STARTED WITH THAT, 95 POINTS”

COME ON IN, YOU GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT!”

He that winneth souls is WISE. Proverbs 11:30.

I will close with this;

Matthew 28:18-20 Amplified Bible (AMP)

18Jesus approached and, [a]breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.

19Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them [b]into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you [c]all the days ([d]perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. [e]Amen (so let it be).
