How God Protects Your Body Against Viral Infections

The news is flooded with Coronavirus;triggering panic around the globe. Countries are on high alert as measures are being implemented to prevent the virus from spreading. We are told to take precautionary measures and to seek medical attention asap if there is any sign of infection.

This is today’s reality: Bird flu, Swine flu…Ebola, and Coronavirus. Are we going to have an end to viral diseases? I’m afraid No. There would always be one outbreak or the other. But there is HOPE for you as a child of God.

For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease

(Psalm 91:3, NLT)

God protects His children from diseases. And a Fact you should come to term with is that You have been equipped to heal people using the Name of Jesus Christ.
I am not telling you to ignore medical advice and live carelessly but I do want to remind of you about your authority to function in the Name of Jesus.

So How is God protecting us today? He gave us Jesus Christ. His Blood is Awesome and His Name is Powerful. We are bought by His Precious Blood to operate in His Name. What God did has Eternal effect because Jesus Christ is the SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND FOREVERMORE.

Therefore, if there is a viral disease today, we are covered by the Blood. If there is going to be another outbreak next week, next year, or next decade, the Blood will never lose its Power.

If every news anchor were a believer of our Lord Jesus Christ, the story would have been different. But we live in a world where Fear sells so I thought that this gentle reminder will equip those who believe on the Name of our Jesus Christ. You are Covered by the Blood of Jesus Christ, OUR LORD.

DON’T BE AFRAID

God has not given us a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7, NLT)

It is true that Satan has risen against this generation but as God’s elect we should always remember that He that lives in us is greater than the enemy that is causing evil around us. The scripture says in 1 John 5:8 that  Jesus holds God’s children securely, and the evil one cannot touch them. This means that although there are accidents on the streets, sicknesses and diseases, sudden deaths, wars and threats of war, shootings, spread of viruses, etc, Jesus holds us securely, and the enemy and his demons cannot touch us. Praise the Lord forevermore!

Let me ask you these questions:

Do you live in fear in your daily life? Do you worry about the things you don’t have? Are you afraid because roads are not safe? Do you shiver because of threats of diseases? Do you worry about the security of your job? Do you get scared about the welfare of your family? What is your greatest fear?

God sent me to you with this message; “DO NOT BE AFRAID for I am with you.”

One weapon Satan is using in these last days is FEAR. He will present facts about your situation(s) to make you think or believe that there is no hope. His main objective is to shift your focus from God and His love for you, and to make you walk in fear instead of faith because he knows that without faith, you cannot please God.

Satan sends his message of fear through News, reports, and words from people we know. Some of the journalists, experts, and people we listen to are unbelievers. Others might have accepted Jesus but they have not taken time to grow in the word of God. Thus, they base their reports on human knowledge, which is limited to the flesh. It is good to know what happens around the globe but don’t let your heart be troubled. Know that although all those things are happening, God still sits on the throne and He is protecting His own. Do not worry because God is with you.

Friend, do not be afraid for God has ransomed you. He has called you by name; you are His. When you go through deep waters, He will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through fire of oppression, you will not be burned up. the flames will not consume you. He will brighten the darkness before you and smooth out the road ahead of you. He will not forsake you.

Jesus holds God’s children securely, and the evil one cannot touch them. You are God’s child; therefore the enemy cannot touch you. Do not be afraid.

Day 2: LIVING THE WORRY FREE LIFE

God is watching over you. He is taking care of you. In Psalm 91 the psalmist said “though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you”. His angels are protecting you.

For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.  (Psalm 91:11, NLT)

When you hear stories about accidents on the streets, suicide bombing, terrorist threats, kidnapping, tsunami, etc. don’t let your heart be troubled because God is your fortress, protecting you from danger. He has built a hedge of protection around you, your family, and everything you have.

Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. (Psalm 55:22, NLT)

God wants you to give all your burdens (including your greatest fear) to him.  He wants you to trust him for your protection. World leaders can’t protect you. However when you trust that the Creator of the universe has charged his angels to protect you wherever you go, it takes away worry and anxiety. Don’t live in fear anymore. Don’t allow the headlines scare you. And don’t let what people say make you doubt God’s promises concerning your life.

“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” Genesis 28:15

You can live the worry free life. God is watching over you and He will not permit you to slip and fall
