It’s always exciting to start a new year. O yeah! amazing display of fireworks in major cities like London, New York, Sydney, Tokyo, Dubai, Paris, etc. And you are familiar with New Year Resolution (NYR); right? Our well structured plan for the New Year hoping to achieve all before year end.

Thank God this is September….whew! I just checked mine and realised that major works need to be done in order to achieve set targets. Funny questions I asked myself: What did I do with all the time? Could it be that the year is moving faster than I thought?….Well! for me I guess misplaced priorities could be a factor. Am like a student who has spent one and half hours reading questions and only have thirty minutes to write answers…probably I thought I should understand the question better before I write.

The reality is that January to August, all gone and September will soon end. Nothing can be done. Whether good or bad, there are two options: 1. Continue staring at the wasted time and opportunities or 2. Focus on the remaining time and make good use of it.

Life isn’t about what you did in the PAST But about what you can do with what you have NOW for a better Future.

2018 isn’t dead yet which means that you can restructure yourself and work hard to achieve more. Remember: Forget about the past and look forward to what lies ahead. If you have achieved marvelous things so far, know that you can still do better. Be ready for final laps in 2018 and Finish Strong.

Ethiopia_London2012_API was thinking about which song to sing and how it could be linked to what God has done throughout the year. In fact many songs came on my mind but the one that stood out was Count Your Blessings by Johnson Oatman Jr.

A sure way to know how to thank God for His goodness and kindness is to take inventory of what He has done in your life.

2017 has been a great for most of us but to some, it probably has been very challenging But the truth is that whichever way you assess the year, you still have the most precious gift on the planet; you are alive. God saved from accident(s) you didn’t see, among others. If God should pull the curtain for you to see all he did behind the scene this year, I bet you will forever remain grateful.

I have not got much to say but the little I would add is that God’s Word concerning your life in 2017 will come to pass before the year ends. Don’t give up believing and trusting in His Word. Often the final lap demands little more pressure or muscle stretch to win the race so Finish Strong. God bless you
