Search Your Heart

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. (Matthew 6:33, NLT)

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. (Psalm 37:4, NLT)

cropped-our-god-is-love.jpgThe Lord desires that you prosper and live in good health. As a result, he has put in place everything you will need to be successful in this life, and to spend eternity with Him. In Romans 8:32 (NLT), we are told that “since he did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?”

Notice a common word in Matthew 6:33 and Romans 8:32; EverythingThere is no restriction or limit as to what God wants you to ask from Him. Jesus made it simpler in Matthew 7:7, a popular scripture, when He said “Ask, and it shall be given you” (KJV) and In Philippians 4:6, the Apostle said “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” In effect, don’t put restriction on the things you need in this life because after all, your Father in heaven is ready to give you everything you need in order to live as a king or a queen. The problem is that “You have never asked for anything in this way before. But ask in my name, and you will receive. And you will have the fullest joy possible” (John 16:24, ERV)

I believe you are excited about the truth in God’s word but hold on for a minute because there is something you have to do as a child of God; Make His business your business. That is You have to take delight in Him. The Easy-to-read version translates Psalm 37:4 in a remarkable way; “Enjoy serving the Lord, and he will give you whatever you ask for“. One thing you should note is that; you can’t enjoy, or have satisfaction from, doing something you don’t Love. Frankly, genuine satisfaction comes from doing what you love to do, which will make it right to say that you can’t Enjoy serving the Lord if you don’t genuinely love Him with all your heart.

In the same way, you can’t seek his Kingdom and live righteously if you don’t love Him because you will give up when weariness sets in. Thus, your strong affection for God will push you to want to serve him and to be interested in His Kingdom business.

I want you to search your heart now and determine the depth of your LOVE for Him. See, God gave his BEST, Jesus Christ, to show His love for you. So what are you willing to give to show your love for Him? A point to consider is Jesus acknowledged two people because of their giving; one is Mary Magdalene (who broke her expensive oil) and the widow (who gave all she had). Below are few questions to consider

  • Has He got the best place in your heart, time management, finances, business, relationship with people, family, and/or daily activities?
  • Do you put Him on top of your schedule or he is right below the long list?
  • oh, how many times do you talk to him in a day?
  • Is there anything that takes more of your time, money, or resources more than Him and/or His Kingdom business?
  • How many hours or minutes in 24 hours do you allocate for him and/or His Kingdom business?

Search your heart today to know if you “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind” Luke 10:27

God loves you so much that He demonstrated by giving His BEST for you. Do you love him as much as he does? Search your heart and give Him the Best of you

A Tip on How to Receive from God (1 min read)

20121127-085653.jpg“Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.” (Philippians 4:6, AMP)

A common tool the enemy uses to keep you from praying is worrying. But when you Understand the importance of Prayer and Know how to make your request through Prayer, you will not spend (even) a second of your precious time to worry.

  • Make Specific Request:

Assuming your two children made the same request for phone:

First Child: Dad/Mum I need a phone…pls get me phone from the shop“.

Second Child: Dad/Mum I need Iphone 6 plus, color: Space gray, 16GB from the shop by Friday. I love you so much. Thank you for always getting me what I ask for

Which of these requests would easily catch your attention? and how would you respond to each?

Know what you want, how you want it, and when you want it. Then talk to God about it in Jesus’ Name. That is what Asking in Faith is all about

God wants us to be specific with you request(s) because He has immeasurable resources to meet your every need. Nothing is too big for him. In John 14:14 (KJV), Jesus said If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” Emphasis added.

Anything means anything, whether big or small, existed or yet to be made, etc.

What do you want from God  or what do you want to see in your life in the remaining days of this month, or remaining months of the year? Be like the second child and be specific with what you want from God.

Keep Asking, Don’t Quit

image

The Theme for this month is Faith. Having Faith and walking by Faith are important ingredients in our walk with God.

“You can never please God without faith, without depending on him…” (Hebrews 11:6, TLB)

The more you walk by Faith, the more your Faith grows and the more you defeat obstacles that come your way.

Today, I want to share few scriptures I believe would encourage you to Ask for anything in Jesus’ Name because there is an assurance that God would supply ALL.

Keep Asking, Don’t Give Up!

20121125-121349.jpg

God did not keep back his own Son, but he gave him for us. If God did this, won’t he freely give us everything else? (Romans 8:32, CEV) Emphasis added

Yes, ask anything, using my name, and I will do it! (John 14:14, TLB) Emphasis added

And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19, AMP) Emphasis added

Have a great day.
