People, events, and situations change with time but God doesn’t change.
He is who He says He is, and what He says He is. From everlasting to everlasting, He is the same God.
See God as a parent or guardian with many children under one roof. These kids may have different needs but they don’t change who the parent/guardian is. He/She loves them and cares for them in different ways, according to their specific needs. That is although God remains the Same, He has many ways of meeting His children’s needs.
Today, you can trust God’s Power is as potent as it was when He created the Word. The same Power that worked through Jesus Christ, and raised Him from the dead is alive and active in your life. Even now, He is working in you to perfect His purpose for your life. Don’t compare your life with anyone because like the parent/guardian described above, you are different and He has a different way of meeting your needs.
Someone once told me that “you can take a person out of Britain but you can’t take Britain out of the person“. He said it because he found it difficult to switch from his normal British breakfast to the country in which he was a resident. The statement means you can take the physical body out of a country but you can’t take the culture out of the person. This explains why you see Turkish restaurants, Chinese restaurants, african market, etc in towns and cities. This also explains why some people, although on foreign land, wear their local dresses for occasions. The culture is imbibed in them and until they reprogram themselves, they will forever live within two customs and beliefs.
These physical activities can be used to demonstrate the struggle believers face in their new lives in Christ Jesus. God paid the price to buy us from an old and corrupt system ruled by the devil. Legally, the enemy knows that the SOLD label is tagged on us and he has no business in our businesses.

But we make his job easier by the manner in which we live. Like the Turkish guy who has naturalized to be a British citizen but occasionally visits Turkish restaurants, we (believers) sometimes desire our old lives and slip into it. This was an issue Paul dealt with the early church and it’s still prevalence today.
But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.”
(Luke 9:62, NLT)
Following Jesus Christ is a decision you made. To decide is to cut off. That is to KILL any other alternative. That was why Jesus said that a person who decides to follow him and keeps looking back isn’t fit for the Kingdom of God. “Remember Lot’s wife” (Luke 17:32).
Assess your life today. Is there anything that trips you often? Is there a habit, belief, or relationship that tempts you to look back? Like a restaurant/shop you visit when you feel for old habits. The truth is that the restaurant (Old Lifestyle) will be opened as long as you live on earth BUT you’ve got to reprogram your mind that No Turning Back.
The danger you face is whatever trips you becomes a foothold for the devil to strike your life with scarcity, sicknesses, fear, and even death. God isn’t only interested in keeping you in a box but He is interested in your Safety and Security, which can be found inside the Box. The Box is Jesus Christ. In Him you will find everything you need and the more you grow in Him, the more you will realize that nothing really outside the Box is important. They are bait the enemy uses to destroy God’s children. Think about this; a man/woman married for 20 years sneaked out for one-night stand, got caught, humiliated, and his/her entire reputation is destroyed. The Trust he/she built for 20 years (175200hrs) is destroyed within 24hrs. It’s sad.
I’m not here to condemn you or to make you feel bad. But with a simple question; Are You Fit for the Kingdom of God? Only You can answer it Best. You can make God smile by deciding to quit and talk like Paul that “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20, NLT)
So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
(1 Corinthians 15:58, NLT)
Keep up with your efforts toward God’s work because every little thing you do is fetching more blessings for you in this life, and the one to come. God bless you richly for supporting His Kingdom business. Amen
