As July 2026 began, I found myself reflecting on the Lord’s goodness in my life. Standing in the coolness of the morning breeze, I was overwhelmed with a quiet sense of awe. In that peaceful moment, before I even realised it, these words came to my heart:
“A life filled with gratitude is full of joy.”
Gratitude does not mean that every circumstance is perfect. It means choosing to recognise God’s faithfulness even in the midst of unanswered questions, struggles, and uncertain tomorrows.
The more we remember His goodness, the more our hearts are filled with joy that is not dependent on our circumstances but anchored in His unchanging love.
Perhaps the greatest gift of gratitude is that it shifts our focus from what we lack to the One who has never failed us. When our eyes remain fixed on the Lord, joy naturally follows.

The psalmist reminds us:
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.“ — Psalm 100:4 (NIV) emphasis added
Thanksgiving is more than good manners; it is an invitation into God’s presence. A grateful heart sees His hand at work, even in ordinary moments like the cool breeze of a new morning. It remembers His faithfulness yesterday, trusts Him today, and rests confidently in His promises for tomorrow.
As we go through the month, may we count our blessings more than our burdens, praise God more than we complain, and trust Him more than we fear. May our lives become a testimony that a life filled with gratitude is full of joy, because our joy is found not in changing circumstances but in our unchanging God.
