God’s Provision in Difficult Times

On the way they were asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” (Mark 16:3)

Mary and the other women decided to go and anoint Jesus’ body. On their way, they pondered the difficult question. “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” It appeared to be an impossible quest, but they went anyway. The stone was very large, as described in the Bible. It was the challenge. What they didn’t know, however, was that God had already taken care of that. Jesus Christ, our Messiah, had resurrected. Hallelujah!

God would not place a purpose on your heart if He had no provision. Often, what seems impossible is influenced by the limits we place on ourselves. These limits are based on the information we have about the situation. And it becomes a tool for the enemy to keep us from going forward.

One day, I had to return to the office for an important assignment. Unfortunately for me that day, I had left the facility’s key at the office the day before. The greater part of me felt that I couldn’t access the office. It was a Saturday, and no one would be around to help me in. But I decided to go ahead. When I reached there, it happened that someone had just popped in, and he was wandering around the reception. He told me that he didn’t know what was holding him there. Upon seeing me, he believed that I was the reason.

Friend, God has already made provision for any impossible considerations you have made. Keep moving forward, as Jesus Christ has made all things possible. God bless you!

Overcoming Grief: Easter Reflections

There are moments in life when everything appears as though nothing is working. During those times, God works behind the scenes.

Saturday was a silent moment in the disciples’ lives. They had witnessed Jesus’ glorious entry into Jerusalem. They saw what happened at the temple. They had the Lord’s Supper. They saw Jesus being captured, tortured, and crucified. Finally, they saw their master die on the cross. Everyone fled as it was written. “I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of his flock will be scattered” (Matthew 26:31).

The Cross brings Hope

The disciples woke up on Saturday morning to a quieter day. It was a silent moment. Everything they thought they were working for seemed to have stopped. There was no Jesus, no crowd, no miracles, and no words. They wailed in their grief. Meanwhile, their enemies rejoiced. They believed they had stopped a menace in society. What they did not know was that Jesus Christ was working, thereby defeating Satan and his cohorts.

Today, let these words encourage you if you find yourself in a silent moment. God is working behind the scenes. Jesus Christ won, so you can win. I came to declare that you will come out bigger and better than anything you can ever think of. Happy Easter!
