Story:
My neighbor has two children; a three-year-old girl (Grace) and a two-year-old boy (Koby). These kids are lovely and their parents are nurturing them in the way of the Lord.
One day, as I passed by to check up on them, Grace noticed something on me and quickly turned to her brother and said “Uncle is wearing Addition“. Their mum scoffed…but I chipped in that “hey, you’ve not taught them that…huh?…stop laughing“. Well, I looked at them, held the addition, and asked “Do you want one?“. They responded “Yes“
The next day, I was in a rush so I kinda forgot to wear my crucifix, and guess who I met? Grace and Koby with their mum. They looked happy as always but Koby observed that something was missing from Uncle so he asked: “Uncle where is your addition?”. I paused for a while, stooped, and whispered…”It’s in the house“. He responded “Okay“. Immediately I knew God had a message for me because it kept playing back throughout the day that “where is your addition?“
Lesson:
The Addition represents Jesus Christ in the life of a believer. When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, He became the Addition to your life. People saw you when you accepted to wear the Addition on your life and People observe you every day to see if you still wear your addition.
However, some believers forget to or choose not to wear their addition because of busy schedules, or some lifestyle or habit they find it difficult to let go of. Like Koby, some of your friends, family members, neighbors, colleagues at work, etc would see you and wonder…Where is your Addition?
When people don’t see you living as a follower of Jesus Christ, they wonder like little Koby because they expect to see Jesus in you.
This is a CALL because so many things are happening around us. The level of polarisation is probable at the highest, with accompanying hate and discrimination. From Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, there is unrest and I believe it’s time to demonstrate to the World that it needs Jesus Christ.
This is not the time to cower to some beliefs or prejudices or intimidation or persecution. It’s time to show what we’ve got; Jesus Christ.
Please don’t forget your Addition on any day because He is the Pillar that holds your life.
Jesus said that …
No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.

Finally, when people see you wearing your Addition daily, they will thank God for your life and give Him praise. Wouldn’t you rather let your life be a source of Praise to God?
