Season of Recovery and Restoration

Do you remember the last time you lost something, and thought it was over? Can you remember how you felt when suddenly someone got you another one (or even a better one), or you found the missing item? Be ready because in this season God is that someone Who will get you something better or help you find what has been stolen from your life.

Truth about God:

I want to establish that “God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn” (Rom 11:29, NLT Emphasis added). In other words, God will never take back or steal what He, out of His abundance, gives you.

Restoration and Recovery

When something (iphone 8) is stolen from you, God can either help you recover what was stolen (your iphone 8 ) or give (restore) you same iphone 8 (not your old phone) or even a better phone (iphone X). From the story shared below, you would see that Abram and David recovered, but He restored Job’s.

The specialized Thief and Destroyer

The enemy is responsible for stealing and destroying. He carries this plan through spiritual and/or physical means.
Consider how he tormented Job. This was done spiritually and effects were made manifest in the physical. Job lost every things and his body was inflicted.
In the physical, Genesis 14 gives account of where Abram’s nephew, Lot together with his goods were taken by enemies that attacked Sodom and Gomorrah. Another familiar story is an account of David in 1 Samuel 30, where David and his men lost all they had.

Maybe you fit into one of the two, or both. The enemy can be ruthless and very damaging. He shows no mercy especially when he knows you are a kingdom person. Maybe he has attacked you spiritually and its effects are being seen on the physical, and/or someone has taken/stolen what is yours. Maybe you have been misled that has resulted in wasted resources; energy, time, and money.
Whatever your case might be, you serve the God who can RESTORE, and/or help you to RECOVER. From eternity to eternity, He is God. He is not limited by time and space. His power to work Today can also restore what was stolen from the past.

God’s strategy for Recovery and Restoration

It’s time to calm down and relax so that you can SEE God’s strategy for recovery and restoration. God has many ways for Restoring His children losses, and helping them to Recover their stolen gifts and properties. I will err if I say do this one thing because His ways are far above our ways. However, there are some basic things you can do in order to trigger His move:
Prayer: David prayed to God for direction and God told him to “pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all” v8 NKJV.
Faith: Abram, upon hearing the news, “armed his three hundred and eighteen trained servants…and went in pursuit” v14. He was man of Faith and this worked for him.
Intercession Prayer: Job’s story was quite different. Job 42:10 says “And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave job twice as much as he had before“

The misconception is that some people think in the time of restoration/recovery, they can sit idle and God would just open heaven for them. They love to remain passive but it doesn’t work that way; God would tell you what to do through the Study of His Word, Meditation, and Prayer. And when you ACT on that FAITH, the supernatural happens.
