Last night I had a chat with a friend which I want to share with you because I believe that we could all learn from it.
Friend: You woke up one morning to the sound of someone knocking on your door, you opened and saw your best friend crying and sweating profusely, you let him/her in, after petting him/her with hugs and he/her calms down, then you ask…what’s wrong, he/she reply sobbing I have Ebola. What will you do?
Me: I will pray in the Name of Jesus for his/her recovery.
Friend: And what about you?
Me: Ebola can’t touch me because I am covered by the blood of Jesus. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. (Psalms 91:3, 7, 11 NLT)
Friend: Amen and 10x.
Lesson:
I knew she wanted to make fun of me and probably see how I would react to Ebola, which has claimed over 2000 lives in West Africa. My responses to her questions encouraged her which made her call back to say thank you for the scripture. Ebola is real but the good news for us is that God has His hedge of protection around us. We are in Jesus Christ and His precious blood shield us from all forms of attacks. We, Christians, have been given power to pray for the sick and those who are oppressed by Satan and his demons. Our nature is immune to any form of sickness/disease. His word says in Psalm 91 that though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.
“Anyone who harms you harms my most precious possession.” (Zechariah 2:8 NLT)
Friend you are God’s most precious possession so don’t be afraid of what is happening around the globe. He is watching over you. You are untouchable.
Oh this is just what I needed this morning. Thanks so much! I am very much aware that nothing can happen to us except God allows it. God bless you!
