My Little Story: You don’t know too much

I heard a story about a graduate student who attended a seminar organised by the school. The speaker was a multi-millionaire in dollars and he was to teach them how to become a multi-millionaire. When the speaker started outlining the steps to be a millionaire, this young man raised his hand. He stood and said ” sir our respectable lecturer said…” The speaker intercepted and asked the young man “Is your respectable lecturer a multi-millionaire in dollars“. The young man answered “No sir“. The speaker said “very well then, would you now sit down for me to teach you how to be a multi-millionaire in dollars“. The young man said “thank you sir

Lesson:
So often we tend to know too much than God. We allow the things we hear and see in the world to make us believe that that is how things are meant to be.
God wants us to be very prosperous, and He has outlined all we need to do in His Word to be successful yet, like the young man, we have allowed satan to feed our thoughts with wrong information. It is time we sit up and say God we don’t know too much. Teach us what to do in order to be successful in all we do.

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8 NIV)

God bless you.

  1. Perhaps Uplifting Christ this young man would benefit if he heard God’s advice on this important topic below at least he would know it was True even if he chose to ignore it…..

Matthew 6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Mark 8:35-37 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Of course there is another Story Uplifting Christ that gives us another answer but has the same focus……..

A man was walking through a forest pondering life. He walked, pondered, walked, and pondered. He felt very close to nature and even close to God. He felt so close to God that he felt if he spoke God would listen.

So he asked, “God, are you listening?” And God replied, “Yes my son, I am here.”The man stopped and pondered some more. He looked towards the sky and said, “God, what is a million years to you?”

God replied, “Well my son, a second to me is like a million years to you.”

So the man continued to walk and to ponder… walk and ponder…Then he looked to the sky again and said, “God, what is a million dollars to you?”

And God replied, “My son, my son…a penny to me is like a million dollars to you. It means almost nothing to me. It does not even have a value it is so little.”

The man looked down, pondered a bit and then looked up to the sky and said, “God, can I have a million dollars?”

And God replied, “In a second.”
