Keep God First

Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts. (1 John 5:21 NLT)

God gave His best to save you from eternal destruction. John 3:16. Therefore he expects nothing but the best from you. Let me ask you this question;

Are you giving God the best in your life?

Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. (Matthew 22:37, 38 NLT)

Did you know that anything (wealth, boyfriend, girlfriend, career, job, education, business, etc) you give your time, energy, love, mind, etc to more than God is a god to you? For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Matthew 6:21 AMP)

People are worshipping creation instead of the Creator in these last days. They want shortcuts so they end up consulting or relying on fellow humans instead of God. They also believe a charm could protect them, or their association with certain cult group(s) would make them feel secured. They love the things of this world more than the things of God. It is no surprise that such people believe they can buy God with their wealth.
Oh! The worst part is they are given the best place to sit in some churches.

Friend you are different. God must be your priority. You must keep him first in all you do. The truth is God wants to have rich relationship with you. he wants to be part of your life, where he can have one-on-one interaction with you. he wants your thought life to be filled with the things of his kingdom. He wants you to invest in him. And in your family, business, education, relationship with people, He wants you to keep him first. Jesus said Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. (Matthew 6:33 NLT)
