Is anything worth than your soul?

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Mark 8:36, 37 KJV)

Everyone wants to be successful in life. We want to live in mansions, have prosperous businesses, build healthy families, and have the resources to afford what makes life comfortable.  However, as Christians, our priorities must not be on things of this world. The rich man in Luke 16 had everything yet He lost his soul.

Dear friends, I warn you as “temporary residents and foreigners” to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls. (1 Peter 2:11)

“Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.”(Matthew 6:20 NLT)

Money is good but is it worth more than your soul?

Charles Spurgeon once said “Consider how precious a soul must be, when both God and the devil are after it.”

I would encourage you to examine your life today as you answer this question;

Is anything worth than your Soul?

What shall it profit you, if you shall gain the whole world, and lose your own soul? or what shall you give in exchange for your soul? Naked you came to the womb, and it is certain that you will leave naked.

God bless you!

  1. Thank you for your message and your Godly focus Uplifting Christ , how wonderful that God knows those who are His and always has and He protects our souls (see below) yes we choose to put Him above all worldly chattels and worship no one but Him, is this hard No not when our flesh has been put to death and we are perfected in Love, we have the mind of Christ and He does not choose to sin and God is first always in The Godhead or Trinity as They are called today.

    Psalm 97:9-11 For thou, Lord, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods. Ye that Love the Lord, hate evil: He preserveth the souls of His Saints; He delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

    Psalm 107: 8 – 9 Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness

    May you and your Loved ones be greatly blessed.

    Christian Love from us both – Anne
