Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together. (Genesis 22:8 NIV84)
What would you do if someone told you there would be shortage of air tomorrow? How much would you be willing to pay for the air you breath? No one has ever thought of storing air for the next day because there is absolute trust in the Father for his divine provision. We cannot live without air yet we trust in the unseen for it. If he could supply the world’s population enough to breath, tell me what he cannot give you. The scripture says “For forty years you sustained them in the wilderness, and they lacked nothing. Their clothes did not wear out, and their feet did not swell! “(Nehemiah 9:21 NLT). God could sustain His children for forty years. He gave them food and water for all those years. He is the Ancient of days. He remains the same. His power to supply has not changed, and He is more than able to supply everything you need.
Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds! (Luke 12:24 NLT)
God has everything you need. He made the provision for them before you came to the womb. It’s no surprising that He said I know the plans I have for you, They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT). He is your Provider. Looking at Abraham’s life, I could say His plans for him indeed was for good. He provided a lamb for the sacrifice. He used raven to feed Elijah. The problem we have today is that God’s children are not asking. They prefer to complain about their situations. “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name…” (John 16:24 NIV84)
When was the last time you made a request in Jesus Name?
Could you make one now?
Be encouraged that our God is more than able to supply all our needs. He is our shepherd and we shall not want. He will make us lie down in green pasture,
He will lead us beside quiet waters. He will prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies. Surely goodness and love will follow us all the days of our lives. Keep believing, Keep hoping, and Keep trusting in the Lord.
God bless us.
