Call to WAIT on the Lord

I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

(Lamentations 3:24-26, NIV)

Keep waiting on the Lord and He will surely do you good. God bless you.

He is always on Time

God's timeThis vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. (Habakkuk 2:3,NLT)

God has set time for every activity under heaven. There is time to sow and time to reap. There is time to conceive and time to give birth. However, God’s calendar doesn’t work like ours. He waits for the right time to supply our needs. He doesn’t work because you are in a hurry to receive yet  He is always on time.

It could be that you have been praying for something and nothing seems to happen. Be encouraged that so long as you keep doing your best each day, God will push things to your direction at the right time.

All you need to do is to WAIT patiently on the Lord. The scripture says God has made everything beautiful for its own time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

In the scriptures, Elijah sent message to King Ahab that he should ran because the rain was coming. King Ahab took the lead on his chariot but when Elijah started to run, he outran King Ahab who was on his chariot.

Notice king Ahab had chariot and he took the lead. He had an asset that made him move faster. In other words, he had advantage over Elijah. Yet Elijah got to the destination before he did. This tells me that the world around us may be moving fast but with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can do things faster.

People around you may be rushing to get things done but when you wait for the Lord, He will give you strength to outrun those who have taken the lead. It doesn’t matter if they are ten years, or five years, or one year, or one month ahead. God can thrust you years ahead with one idea or one opportunity when the time is right.

Wait patiently on the Lord.

Repost: Encourage Yourself

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. 1 Samuel 30:6

One weapon the enemy is using in these last days is discouragement. He will use people to discourage you to quit your job, leave your home, quit your relationship, stop praying, stop going to church, etc. He doesn’t want the best for you so he will discourage you. He is happy when you are sick, depressed, worried, and afraid. He will tell you “there is no way this can ever be”. He will give you facts to let you believe that there is no hope in whatever you are going through. David encountered the same situation. They returned from battle to see their city on fire, and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives. The Bible says David was greatly distressed for the people spake of stoning him. Everyone was against David but he encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

Could it be that you made a mistake and everyone is against you? Could it be that your spouse or partner doesn’t trust you for a mistake you committed years ago? Could it be that you are no more accepted by the very people who appreciated everything you did in the past? Could it be that you are unemployed? Whatever the situation may be, I want you to encourage yourself in the Lord.

Sometimes when there is no one to encourage you, you have to encourage yourself. Speak positive words to yourself. Read the word of God for strength.

“…those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” (Isaiah 40:31 AMP)

Could you guess what happened after David encouraged himself?

He enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

God wants you to be courageous. He told Joshua “Only be thou strong and very courageous”.

I came to encourage you with these words and it is my prayer that God will give you strength and power to come out of every negative situation in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
