THE EARTH IS RESERVED FOR FIRE

If you were born in the early 1900s, I believe your answer to the question “Could the Titanic sink?” would be a big NO! Man believed the Titanic couldn’t sink. In fact, they believed that even God couldn’t sink that ship. They were amazed at what they saw, and heard on the 14th day of April, 1912. The great Titanic did sink, and majority of the people on board perished. May their souls rest in peace.

On 11/09/2001, another tragedy happened that shocked the world. The US was attacked, and thousands of souls perished. People wouldn’t have believed if they were told that those buildings would be destroyed within 24 hours. Even now, people can’t believe that disaster happened. It beats what they could comprehend. The World Trade Centre, and the Pentagon came down. Remember what Jesus said that “Do you see all these buildings? I tell you the truth, they will be completely demolished. Not one stone will be left on top of another!”<;/strong>; (Matthew 24:2 NLT)

In the days of Noah, people didn’t believe until the water came down. They forgot that the World had a Creator, and He represent Justice.

I don’t know why human beings prefer to wait when they have enough time to flee from danger. I can’t understand why we shun the truth. Jesus said Heaven and Earth shall pass away.

In 2 Peter 3:10, the Apostle said “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.”

Jude 1:7 “In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.”

2 Peter 3:7 “By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.“

“When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes. (Matthew 24:37-39 NLT).

I saw on the news how people ran when Japan was hit by earthquake, and tsumani. People left their homes, cars, businesses, etc. the most important thing for them that time was their lives. That is they were afraid to die.
What are you waiting for today? Ain’t you going run to safety? There is going come a day when this world, and everything we see will be consumed by fire. Where would your soul be? Jesus asked this question; what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and lose his own soul? This world has nothing good to offer. Come to Jesus today.

Be reminded today that the earth is reserved for fire. Accept the truth; Heaven and Earth shall pass away. Stand for Jesus, Live for Jesus. Flee from the wrath to come. Today is the day you have, tomorrow may be too late. I don’t mean to scare you but you could die today. How prepared are you?

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 NLT)

“THAT DAY” How can you escape?

On 26th December 2003, over 40,000 were reported killed in the city of Bam in an earthquake. On the 26th of December 2004, approximately 230,000 people were dead or still missing in Southeast Asia. October 8th 2005, Kashmir earthquake kills about 80,000 people. I don’t want to go any further because it’s heartbreaking to see our fellow human beings killed by disasters man has no control over. The point I want to make from this is; none of these and others can be compared to what is about to happen. To be forewarned is to be forearmed

The hour is far spent and very soon, the King of kings will come for those who chose to live for him. The great day of the Lord will be a dreadful day. Who can stand it? In Malachi 4:1 God said “Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and that day that is coming will set them on fire”

A child of God, that day is coming when God’s wrath would be upon ungodly people. A day that things you heart desire today would worth nothing to you. That day will come like a thief according to 2 Peter 3:10 and the heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. If God did not spare ungodly people in the days of Noah, and did not spare those who did evil in Sodom and Gomorrah, He will definitely not spare this generation, considering the fact that He sent His son so that whosoever believes in Him would not perish but have eternal life.

Life worth living when man realizes the purpose of Jesus in his daily life; When Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin. You cannot sin because the seed of sin is not found in you. Satan is deceiving many today; he is shifting people’s focus from Christ second coming. Today, people worry much about what to eat, drink, wear, etc that is why most preachers tend to focus on Prosperity messages instead of messages that would make us or keep us watching as we await the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. If you do not take care, worrying will make you do things that would hinder you from making it through the narrow gate. God has already made provisions for our needs. Worrying means; doubting God’s Power to perform.

Dear friends, in the last times, there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires. These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.

But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Be merciful to those who doubt; snatch others from the fire and save them.

Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.

“THAT DAY” Can You Escape?

THIEF AT NIGHT

“If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house broke into. So must you be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” (Matthew 24:43)

The day of the Lord will come like a thief. 2 Peter 3:10. Peter used thief to describe the manner in which Christ second coming will be. The master will come suddenly when the world loves it’s own, and majority of God’s children have allowed the world to shift their focus.

Jesus will come at an hour when lovers are planning to go for holidays. when teenagers are busily enjoying their boyfriend – girlfriend relationships. when parents are planning for their children’s future. when University graduates make job seeking their priority. when CEOs of various businesses are planning the way forward, when World leaders make plans to combine Christianity and Islam. When you allow football game, night club, gossip, crave for latest electronics, etc dominate your heart and mind. Jesus will come on day you least expected. Thus He said “Be careful, or your heart will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap.” Luke 21:34.

One thing He said “the time has been shortened” before He left about 2000 years ago and the story hasn’t changed. Jesus is coming soon.  He told us no one knows that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Matthew 24:36

The Night used refer to season, a period of time when people are tired of waiting, and don’t believe in the signs He told us to expect before His coming. He is coming at an hour when most believers are tired of hearing the same old news; JESUS IS COMING SOON. A season when most Christians are relaxing and dozing off (living lives that please them). Like the parable of the ten virgins, the bridegroom came when they were sleeping. It was a time they were tired of waiting. Fatigue had set in, their strengths began to faint, and nothing good was happening.

Jesus can come at the NIGHT of your life. At a time when you say “Let me just do this for today and I won’t repeat it again.” Thieves most often come at night, even as you don’t want anything to disturb your sleep. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. If he suddenly come, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: Watch!
