HE HAS PAID THE PRICE

upliftingChristI have swept away your sins like a cloud. I have scattered your offenses like the morning mist. Oh, return to me, for I have paid the price to set you free. Isaiah 44:22 NLT

Beloved, I am troubled as I write this piece because some of us have slipped back into our old ways of living to satisfy our own desires. The truth is there is no pleasure in sin considering the eternal consequence that lies ahead yet some of us still find themselves committing the same old sins over, and over. I have not come to condemn you but to reassure you of God’s love. He said in Isaiah that “I have swept away your sins like a cloud. I have scattered your offenses like the morning mist. Oh, return to me, for I have paid the price to set you free”.

The price He paid was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.

God is waiting for you to return to Him. He has stretched his arms to welcome you. He is not looking at what you have done in the secret; neither is he focusing on your weakness(es). He knows how you see yourself behind closed doors. Stop condemning yourself and return to the Lord as He is saying today that “Oh, return to me, for I have paid the price to set you free.” Notice he did not say “I will pay the price, or I may pay the price” rather, He said “I have paid the price to set you free.” He has already done it.

What are you waiting for my brother/sister, father/mother, son/daughter?

Jesus said “many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’.” Matthew 7:22-23

It is not what you do in Jesus’ Name that matters. It is how you live each day of your life for him. Are you living the Jesus’ LIFE?

If God could turn His face away from His own Son on the cross because of our sins, then I believe it would not be difficult for Him to cast us into the lake of fire if we continue pretending to be holy while we are not. I came with this news because some of us are pretending to be who they are not. They preach but fail to practice what they preach. They sing but they do not live the life of the song they sing. They write to encourage people but they are depressed. They write to tell people to repent but they are living in their old ways. They quote the Word but they do not practice the Word. Jesus came as a lamb but He is coming as a Judge.

The End of all things is near. And for that matter, God wants you to return to Him. Acknowledge your weakness(s), acknowledge your sins, confess them, ask for forgiveness, and start living the new life in Christ Jesus. God has paid the price.

God bless you!

A SEASON OF CHANGE

I was listening to Don Moen and Friends podcast (A season of change) this morning and God gave me this message. I believe it is going to bless your life today in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

To everything there is a season;

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Time changes so never give. The Lord is in control. A friend betrayed you, someone broke your heart, you lost your loved one, your spouse hurt you, business has slowed down, no job, you do not see any progress in your ministry, you are sick, etc. I do not know what you are going through today but I do know the God we serve. He is the great I AM. He is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]. Quit worrying about what you do not have, or cannot do and start believing that there is going to be a change. God is able to change every negative situation you are going through now. He is God. He is Powerful. He is a loving Father. And nothing is too difficult for him. Remember the woman with the issue of blood? It took less than a minute for her to see a new season. Your new season is coming. All you need to do is to walk by faith. Jesus said “if you have faith [ that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.” Matthew 17:20

Elisha replied, “Listen to this message from the LORD! This is what the LORD says: By this time tomorrow in the markets of Samaria, five quarts of choice flour will cost only one piece of silver, and ten quarts of barley grain will cost only one piece of silver.” 2Kings 7:1

Do you believe by this time tomorrow, God could turn your situation around for good? Keep believing, Keep hoping, and Keep trusting in the Lord. Your healing, financial breakthrough, job, promotion, partner, spiritual growth, best days is just around the corner. Your new season has come. Do you believe it?

God bless you.

ENCOURAGE YOURSELF

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. 1 Samuel 30:6

One weapon the enemy is using in these last days is discouragement. He will use people to discourage you to quit your job, leave your home, quit your relationship, stop praying, stop going to church, etc. He doesn’t want the best for you so he will discourage you. He is happy when you are sick, depressed, worried, and afraid. He will tell you “there is no way this can ever be”. He will give you facts to let you believe that there is no hope in whatever you are going through. David encountered the same situation. They returned from battle to see their city on fire, and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives. The Bible says David was greatly distressed for the people spake of stoning him. Everyone was against David but he encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

Could it be that you made a mistake and everyone is against you? Could it be that your spouse or partner doesn’t trust you for a mistake you committed years ago? Could it be that you are no more accepted by the very people who appreciated everything you did in the past? Could it be that you are unemployed? Whatever the situation may be, I want you to encourage yourself in the Lord. Sometimes when there is no one to encourage you, you have to encourage yourself. Speak positive words to yourself. Read the word of God for strength.

“…those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” (Isaiah 40:31 AMP)

Could you guess what happened after David encouraged himself? He enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

God wants you to be courageous. He told Joshua “Only be thou strong and very courageous”.

I came to encourage you with these words and it is my prayer that God will give you strength and power to come out of every negative situation in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
