Journey to the Cross

[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].

Hebrews 12:2 sums the struggles we face in accomplishing our goals. The primary and important goal is to receive reward from Jesus Christ for good work done. Any other goal is secondary. This is because “naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart” (Job 1:21).

Regardless of your goal(s), whether primary or secondary, you have to bear the cross. In our Lord Jesus’ case, there was higher Glory that awaited him. He knew that after enduring the cross, the reward will last forever. And truly, even now, He is seated at the Father’s right hand making intercession for you and I. Jesus had to endure…it wasn’t easy yet it was the only way for Him to accomplish His work.

In the same way, and as we remember His wondrous work at Calvary, we have to program our minds to endure to the end. Nobody ever said the journey would be easy. It will get to the point where friends will reject you like they to Jesus, betray you like they did to Jesus, mock you like they did to Jesus, and the very people you are sacrificing for may wish for your dismissal or even death. One word that will keep you going is ENDURANCE.

The Apostle, therefore, is admonishing that when the going gets tough, remember Jesus. Focus on the Reward, the Glory, or the reason why you started in the first place. And there is no better time in a year to remember and/or Focus on Jesus than this Season.

Our Lord sacrificed all to Gain ALL.

I was thinking about this; that if someone slaps me or assaults me, I might call the police. If someone spits on me for no reason, I might take action against the fellow. If someone accuses me of something I haven’t done, I might seek attorney’s help. But in His case, there was no one (in the flesh) to plead His case. On the other hand, He had an option to call for angelic help but that would terminate his mission so he didn’t ask for that help. This means that Jesus was goal-oriented person. Could we be like Him? Of course Yes. Let nothing keep you away from your cross.

Your journey to the cross may be fun at the beginning but brace yourself for difficult moments. And always remember to FOCUS on what Jesus did to achieve His Goal. He will be your Strength. God bless you

Graceful Journey (1 min read)

Here are few thoughts about Life:

  • Life is a Journey
  • Life is full of mysteries
  • Life on earth is time bound
  • Many things come to distract Life from its purpose
  • Life is a race
  • Life isn’t competition with people

Life is a Race but each individual has different course to follow which eliminates the concept of Competition. The only competition that exist is with yourself (or myself). You were created with unique skills and abilities for distinct purpose so we can’t compete in anyway

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

(2 Timothy 4:7, KJV)

This race has prize tag when you cross your finished line. The prize is so great that your adversary will try anything possible to distract you every minute. He wants you to bury your talent till the Master comes.

Here is the main thing:
The race is structured in such a way that you can’t finish with your own strength. You need God. When you recognize the God Factor (G) in your RACE, You activate GRACE

If you have played racing games before, GRACE is like Boosters in racing games. It releases your supernatural power to do extraordinary things you couldn’t do on your own.

Therefore when your Race turns to GRACE, Life becomes easy as the Holy Spirit begins to work in you daily to outsmart your adversary and his strategies.

Race is full of struggles but GRACE comes with Peace and Ease. Where people fail to cross, you triumph. You don’t get stuck in Life and everything you do prospers.

Be encouraged to recognize the God Factor in your Journey (Personal life, family, marriage, business, academics, career, etc) and I can assure you that your Journey will be Graceful.

Power Thought: Week 11 (1min read)

WhichWayThe Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand. (Psalm 37:23-24, NLT)

Every driver hates traffic congestion, especially under scorching sun, or during rush hour, and/or when running late for appointment. We often plan the journey (being mindful of alternative route(s))…and to make life bit more easier, tom-tom could prompt us to divert. To most of us, live navigation system guides us throughout the day even when we don’t know the next destination.

If you use the subway, bus, tram, etc…it is equally important to have information about your route before you set off in order to avoid cancelled trains, road closures, etc.

In effect You need some sort of information and/or direction to guide your mobility in life.

Projecting what has been said above, Life itself is a journey and If you don’t know where you are going (or have enough information), how would you know when you get there? Therefore you need information, direction, or guidance from Someone Who knows the future to guide you in the present. Just as we get frustrated when we get stuck in traffic because we didn’t get traffic information, we will get frustrated in life if we don’t seek God’s guidance at every step along the way.

There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, But its end is the way of death. (Proverbs 14:12, AMP)

As you begin this week, lay your plans before the Lord and pray that He guides you along the best route. Stay connected to Him throughout the journey and obey whatever He tells you. In the believer’s world, God has His angels stationed at strategic positions to help him/her so be assured that you are not alone and Help will come when you need it most. Though you may stumble, you will not fall because The Most High God, Your Father, holds your hand and Nothing shall be impossible for you.

Your week is blessed and no demon of hell has power to undo what God has already accomplished for you. Have a blessed week
