Relax! God is Watching Over You.

The Lord watches over you.

(Psalm 121:5, NIV)

There is violence in our schools, on our streets, malls, and other places. If we are not careful, we will end up living in fear instead of faith. The good news for you, as a child of God, is that your Father is watching over your life. The scripture says

“Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you – the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm – he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. (Psalm 121:4-8, NIV).

God protects you everywhere you go. He protects when you go out and He guards you when you return home both now and forevermore. He works behind the scenes so you don’t see what He does. He wants you to relax and enjoy life as His angels guard you and your family. When you wake up in the morning, or hear any bad news about shooting, terrorist attacks, accidents, outbreak of diseases, etc. say this in Faith; “RELAX! GOD IS WATCHING OVER ME”

Friend the things you see on TV, Internet, listen to on radio, or read in Newspapers; Economic hardship, suicide attacks, Islamic militants attacking Christians, enforcing unjust laws, rumors of war, earthquakes, tsunami, hurricane, etc.  are signs that THE END is at our door step.  Jesus is coming soon.

As we wait for our Lord’s return, let us encourage ourselves with these words that “The Lord will keep us from all harm – he will watch over our lives”.  He will protect you from sicknesses, shooting, suicide attacks, militants, Jihadists, unjust laws, and any evil you could think of in Jesus’ Name.

I will close with this:

Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. (Jeremiah 32:17. NIV)

The Earth is Reserved for Fire

If you were born in the early 1900s, I believe your answer to the question “Could the Titanic sink?” would be a big NO! Man believed the Titanic couldn’t sink. In fact, they believed that even God couldn’t sink that ship. They were amazed at what they saw, and heard on the 14th day of April, 1912. The great Titanic did sink, and majority of the people on board perished. May their souls rest in peace.

People believe God will not destroy the beautiful things they see around them. They don’t believe in Heaven. They don’t believe in Hell. They don’t believe Jesus is coming again. They don’t believe that Heaven and Earth shall pass away.

Remember what Jesus said that

“Do you see all these buildings? I tell you the truth, they will be completely demolished. Not one stone will be left on top of another!” (Matthew 24:2 NLT)

In the days of Noah, people didn’t believe until the water came down. They forgot that the World had Creator, and He represent Justice.

In 2 Peter 3:10, the Apostle said “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.”

Jude 1:7 “In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.“

2 Peter 3:7 “By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.“

“When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes. (Matthew 24:37-39 NLT).

I saw on the news how people ran when Japan was hit by earthquake, and tsumani. People left their homes, cars, businesses, etc. the most important thing for them that time was their lives. That is they were afraid to die.
What are you waiting for today? Ain’t you going run to safety? There is going to come a day when this world, and everything you see will be consumed by fire. Where would your soul be? Jesus asked this question; what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and lose his own soul? This world has nothing good to offer. Come to Jesus today.

Be reminded today that the earth is reserved for fire. Accept the truth; Heaven and Earth shall pass away. Stand for Jesus, Live for Jesus. Flee from the wrath to come. Today is the day you have, tomorrow may be too late. I don’t mean to scare you but you could die today. How prepared are you?

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 NLT)

Jesus is coming soon.

LIFE BEHIND CLOSED DOORS

You know when I am resting or when I am working, and from heaven you discover my thoughts. You notice everything I do and everywhere I go. Before I even speak a word, you know what I will say, (PSALMS 139:2-4 CEV)

I want to talk about life behind closed door. Everybody has got a secret. There are some things you do when nobody is watching. There are sins that easily ensnare you. It could be lying, stealing, fornicating, adultery, jealousy, gossiping, bribery, etc. The desire to sin propels us to shut doors, close windows, move to secret places but we forget that the Spirit of God is everywhere.

Psalm 139 points out that God knows every thought, word and deed, from whom there is no hiding place. He knows us inside out. Your neighbour might not see what you do, or know you evil intentions against him but God knows. God perceives your thoughts from afar. A song writter said “you may cover your sins that no one else would know but you cannot hide it from God.”

God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:14 NIV84).

As a pastor, you may cover your deeds that no one else will know but you cannot hide it from God.

As a husband, you may cover your deeds that your wife would not know but you cannot hide it from God. The same applies to the wife who is unfaithful.

As a president, minister of state, doctor, manager, pilot, agent of the secret services, drug baron, etc. you may cover your deeds that no one else will know but you cannot hide it from God.

As a chorister, writer, instrumentalist, usher, church accountant, driver, member of a church, you may cover your deeds that no one else would know But you cannot hide it from God. God will bring every deed to judgement. He is God of justice.

” Where could I go to escape from your Spirit or from your sight? If I were to climb up to the highest heavens, you would be there.
If I were to dig down to the world of the dead you would also be there. Suppose I had wings like the dawning day and flew across the ocean. Even then your powerful arm would guide and protect me. Or suppose I said, “I’ll hide in the dark until night comes to cover me over.” But you see in the dark because daylight and dark are all the same to you. You are the one
who put me together inside my mother’s body,”
(PSALMS 139:7-13 CEV)

I will close with this; when you are tempted to close doors, windows, turn lights off, or sit in car to sin, remember God is watching. When you pick up phone or go on the Internet to lie, remember that God is watching from afar. You cannot hide your deeds from God. Live a holy life. Jesus is coming soon.
