Empty your Recycle Bin

recycle binThe recycle bin keeps unwanted or deleted files on the computer. Although we delete these files, they occupy space on the computer hard drive. The user must empty the recycle bin to get rid of them permanently as there may be the temptation to restore what has been deleted.

In the same way, we must empty our “recycle bin” to get rid of anything that slows us down in our walk of Faith. The “recycle bin” could be your wardrobe, CD bag, Bedroom, Fridge, Office, relationship, certain channels on TV, etc. There may be some clothes you do not want to wear, movies you do not want to watch, songs you do not want to listen to, drinks you have said “No” to, certain thoughts, etc. You no longer use or need them but you still have them in your bags, office, fridge, wardrobe, etc. These things should be deleted permanently so that we can run our race well. Paul said “since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down…” Hebrews 12:1

“And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the old skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine is stored in new wineskins so that both are preserved.” Matthew 9:17 NLT

Search your life today; are there things in your wardrobe, fridge, room, office, relationship with people, life, etc that you need to delete permanently? Be encouraged to do it today. God will not descend from heaven to do it for you. It is your responsibility dear friend.

I want to encourage you to empty your recycle bin. Let your “No” be “No”. The enemy of your new life in Christ is your old life in the world. Therefore keeping things of your old life will slow you down. God bless you!

ARE YOU EAGERLY WAITING FOR HIM?

And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. (Hebrews 9:27, 28 NLT)

My question this morning is ARE YOU EAGERLY WAITING FOR HIM?

We live in a corrupt society where it is difficult to distinguish between the good and the bad. People justify the wrong things they do with the scriptures. They forget that the life they live is a gift of trust. The Owner is coming soon and each person will be held accountable for what he/she does with his/her life. Wake up if you are sleeping and be prepared to meet The Lord. He is coming at an hour you would least expect. Keep watching.

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body. (2 Corinthians 5:10 NLT) As a result, let us not conform ourselves to the customs of this world. Let us not live like the rest of the world. Others may sin but we cannot. Others may gossip but we cannot. Others may be lay for themselves treasures on this world but we cannot. Because Heaven is our Home. Jesus is preparing a place for you and I. I believe He will be disappointed if after He has prepared a place for us, then He comes to see us unprepared. Let us strip off everything that will prevent us from spending eternity with the Lord. In Hebrews 12, the apostle said “therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.” (Hebrews 12:1 NLT) Jesus is coming soon!

God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad. (Ecclesiastes 12:14 NLT)

Friend Jesus is coming soon. He said “The servants who are ready and waiting for his return will be rewarded. I tell you the truth, he himself will seat them, put on an apron, and serve them as they sit and eat! He may come in the middle of the night or just before dawn. But whenever he comes, he will reward the servants who are ready.
You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected
.
” (Luke 12:37, 38, 40 NLT)

Are you eagerly waiting for Him?

God bless you!
