God Uses People To Bless People

Opportunity knocks at our doors every day but it comes in a form that has to be unraveled before one can notice. Every person you see is an opportunity in disguise. That is an opportunity to tell someone about Jesus Christ, an opportunity to get help, an opportunity to sell your idea, opportunity to make money, network, etc. It would interest you to know that your next big thing could be the next person you meet or interact with.

Hebrews put it this way:

Do not neglect to extend hospitality to strangers [especially among the family of believers—being friendly, cordial, and gracious, sharing the comforts of your home and doing your part generously], for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.

(Hebrews 13:2, AMP)

It’s not always the case that you will meet people like Richard Branson, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, CEOs and MDs, etc before you think of opportunity. Sometimes it could be the security man at the entrance, an employee, a taxi driver, or a stranger in some distress situation. Thus care should be taken so that your ego and/or pride does not become a blockade to your blessings. Remember that Naaman got to hear about Elisha through a slave maid (2 Kings 5:1-17) and David was able to recover all that was stolen when he helped that poor guy who was left behind by his master to die (1 Samuel 30).

You have no idea who God has sent your way to be a blessing therefore be mindful of how you interact with people.

Thought for the Day: February 07, 2020

The Lord repaid me for my godly deeds; he rewarded my blameless behavior.

(Psalm 18:20, NET)

The Psalmist testified that God repaid him for doing what was right. In the same way, God rewards those who do right today. I don’t know how your day is going to be today but I do know that your godly deeds shall never go unnoticed. Greater blessings are coming your way in Jesus’ Name. Amen

appreciation is an application (30sec read)

A friend and I went to meet one of my spiritual fathers whose church is based in UK. He blessed us with some gifts and we couldn’t but thank him for his kindness and thoughtfulness. I called him the next morning, again, to thank him for his generosity and to also express how my friend was dumbfounded at his act. I would never forget what he said in response that “son, do you know that appreciation is an application for greater things? The more thankful you are about what you have received, the more blessings that come your way“.

I thought about this for a while and realized that his statement was one thing I needed for greater miracles.  The more I thank God for what I have, the more blessings he pours my way. It works.

Each of us has got at least one thing to be thankful for. The easiest part is it takes less than a minute to say Thank You Lord. You don’t have to travel or pay to talk to God. You also don’t have to wait in line to talk to Him. No appointment, etc. All you have to do is to pause, lift your hands, and say thank You Father for your unfailing love and faithfulness. Show how thankful you are for everything He has done in your life, plus family and friends.

As you show your appreciation, it will pave way for God to do more great things in your life (in this year and years to come) because He knows that you would always return with praise.
